Just goes to show you he is human. The icing on the cake would have been a loud "GD". :cheesy:

This is the first time I've seen this, and quite frankly I'm shocked. Even though his caddie moved he almost hit him. If he hadn't moved he would have hit him. Completely unnaceptable behavior. It's one thing to throw a club, it's something else entirely to almost hit someone.

We've all seen Tiger throw a lot of clubs, but no where close to anyone else.

Let's hope this is a "one time thing" from Ernie.

I love a good club throw, not too much better than seeing someone launch one!

People get pissed. I get pissed if people throw clubs in my group though. It's totally uncalled for. Slam them into your bag, kick the dirt, whatever. Don't chuck your damn club. I almost got hit by a guy a few weeks ago because he was upset.

Must confess to being fond of the odd club throw :) Putting it behind me now these days, trying to calm down. If someone in my group does it generally, they get laughed at. I'll admit its a childish thing to do, but there are times it helps vent anger. My solution these days is to hit(shank) the bugger harder on the next shot ;) Must admit his throw's are quite impressive ;)

I don't throw my clubs but I will occasionally tomahawk the toe of an iron in the turf.. that's always fun.

I used to throw a few clubs back in the day and when I say throw I mean throw. 40 - 50 yards!!! LOL

I'm older and wiser now, why get upset!!! Just stay cool and calm no matter what, just accept the bad shots you hit because you know you're going to hit some and you'll play much more consistent and have a much better time!!! Also keep in mind everyone hits bad shots, it's how well you recover and how well you manage your emotions throughout the round to let you play up to your potential!!!

wow thats the first time ive seen that video. i heard about it but wow the video is very telling. you know i kept reading about EE having so much class that he would never play NIKE. i guess this is just practice so that he is able to play a classless brand down the road, because if he continues his downward slide TITLEIST would not keep him due to the fact THEY are class. see ya EE :fool:

That toss was insane, almost nailed the caddy with the head and the signboy.

As golfers just remember this ,,You will never be able to control the golf ball if you don't have the mind to control your own temper.

that was a good 60 mph on the toss, he must have been training his arm muscles while recovering from knee surgery

This is Ernie, for Chriss sake! He could take his driver and beat a 85 year old lady to death on the 18 green and he'd get away with it! :cheesy:

Seriously, I agree with you. Take a few strokes from him at the very least!

Missing his caddie from such a short distance says it all about his game. If he was on he'd taken him clean out from there and the sign boy as well.

We've all done it. Admit it!

I can't beleive this is an issue - that's not really throwing a club is it? Just a odd bounce makes it look worse than it was.

The caddie likely gave him the wrong club anyway. :diablo:

I got hit with a club thrown by a guy in my group once. I don't care who you are, if you throw a club, you are an a-hole.

OMG big deal, what would happen if this was pat perez... ernie is going threw alot and has every right to show his emotion with a slump and putter changes im impressed with how long hes been able to control his anger. i rather see ernie throw a club than hear tiger yell damit on abc i would understand if ernie grounded his club in the tee box but theres no need to call people a-holes and make ernie less of a person just because he tossed a club... if you noticed he never showed facial expressions it was still the same ernie but just tossing a club at his bag and sure he had no intention of hitting his caddie clubs kick in weird ways then clubs are tossed

So we should minimize and excuse this type of behavior? I don't think so.

I can honestly say that in the 10 years I've played golf, I have NEVER thrown a club. Why would you assume that we've all done it? Not everyone has that kind of temperament when experiencing frustration.

I think you guys really need to calm down on this, or at least some of you do. Big deal if he throw a club. I don't think its appropriate because he is a grown man playing professional golf, but he is human. And most of us have thrown a club at one time or another, I'll be the first to admit I have. And if anything he has the right to throw a club and get upset from time to time because he actually has something on the line like 100s of thousands of dollars. I don't think he should have thrown it but some of you need to not get so uptight that he made a mistake.

no reason to throw clubs in golf- keep it all in perspective- its a game that we are privileged to be playing, and for those lucky enough to get paid to play..........well, enough said.

And for those that do throw clubs, you buddies talk about you behind your back! ;)

I really don't think people have too much of an issue that he threw a club (it can happen), but the big deal to me is WHERE he threw it. He threw it AT a bag where people were nearby. It's not like he threw it at the ground by him in disgust, he threw it where it could've hurt someone.

Man...I'd heard about the club toss, but I had no idea is was that bad. He nearly took out the caddie. Ernie is obviously not schooled in the art of clubthrowing. Rule #1: It''s okay to throw a club as long as you don't put yourself or others in danger.

I'll be looking forward to your comments in the next Tiger-bashing thread when he curses on TV or tosses a club. ;)
