I'm thinking of either getting a set of Miura BBs or making a trip to Cabot Links this year -- decisions, decisions!!

I think I see your problem.  You should be playing golf, not buying stuff!

Today I am playing my first course outside PA, Lighthouse Sound in Ocean City MD.  Rum Pointe on Sunday.  So I'll be up to 13.

Impressive as heck, Bend. I'm on the same pace of ~50 new courses a year, and will play my 407th and 408th this weekend, and I'll be up to 37 new ones for the year. I'm hoping to retire early in a few years, buy a motorhome, and travel around North America playing golf 4 or 5 days a week. I think I can bump up the tally to 150+ new courses a year. That's if my body doesn't completely wear out. Lol.

Pretty Awesome! I'm up to 459.  I have lived in 4 different cities for at least year, which makes it much easier to find new courses.

Getting a motor home will really up the list of available courses.  You can also pick your spots and avoid adverse weather!

I've been in Chicago my whole life, and have played over 150 courses here. That makes the other 250 courses a bit special, as I had to travel to play them. I generally take 7 to 9 trips a year, playing 4 to 9 courses per trip. The vast majority of the courses played on the trips are first time visits. I've counted at least 58 trips over the past decade.

My dream is to buy the RV and head to Nova Scotia to play Cabot Links, hitting eastern Michigan, Ontario, and Quebec along the way. I'd then starting working my way down the east coast, trying to wind up in Florida by the winter. I'd then head west to SoCal, and then north as spring came around. I've traveled quite a bit, but there are still hundreds of places I'd like to see.

I retire in 5 years, but will work another career for a few years as I'll be young enough. I figure after a few long RV golf road trips my wife will just tell me to go w my buddy. I'll be living in Florida so I will wamt to escape the summer humidity anyway.

I am closing in on #500 after a LOT of yrs, and as travel gets a bit harder my bucket list was wearing down--until I started looking at your gallery!! It has added quite a few to play for sure.

Thank you for sharing those pictures...GREAT idea, and very impressive!

  • Muirfield Village Dublin OH
  • Cog Hill Lemont IL
  • Pinehurst Pinehurst NC
  • La Costa Carlsbad CA
