It's not in the bag, but it's going to get a round of play on the course: Ping G20 8.5 Tour AD DI 6X. It's long.

I just bought a 910D3 a few days ago and I'm loving it... Hmm. I have a RIP 80-X on the way for it.

Yep, it's until I get my swing coach to decide which shaft to order for me when I have any money, he said he likes the RIP shaft for me but not an 80..

Jax- Was your G20 longer than your D3? Sound? Feel?
One of my favorite things about the D3 is the sound.

RIP 80 is a beast.

I only hit about 50 balls yesterday and struggled with the G20. I wasn't giving it my best swings and really didn't get a good comparison. I will say that the best shots I had with it were Lllllllong, but low. Sound was okay, and feel wasn't a positive at all.

The D3 combo that I have is a fairway machine, feels great, sounds great, looks great. I just get pissed when I freaking crush drives and they stop on a dime. Thats why I was looking at the G20, too find a combo that would give me back my full drives.

More to come, and I definitely will give it a full round or two.

I bet that with either hotmelt or cotton balls the G20 feels better, I know the i20 would be able to knock out the D3, I never understood the D3 following until I own one, a smooth, controlled swing, with a solid strike produces a hot ball flight that will get some nice distance do it.

So if you give up on the G20 I'll give you my D3 for it, just saying, I'd even toss in an Adams A12 Pro hybrid with Matrix Ozik X flex.

I would probably throw my back out hitting a RIP 80X, envious.

FWIW, it's not the weight that actually makes the shaft tough, it's the fact that all it wants to do it go straight or right. I hit a nice draw with a 60-70X but the RIP 80 is 86 so it's a difference for sure, but relatively it's still a light little golf club.

I like the D3 better, D3 I hit a slight fade that starts a little left and starts to leak to the right at the very end. I can draw it if I want to, but isn't as easy as I remember. The distance is good, carry about 290-300 usually but it stops DEAD when it hits.

G20 is a freaking beast, long and straight and I can see myself playing it, but I just am a Titleist guy by heart and just keep thinking my swing is smoother and more controled with the 910. I find that I try to bomb the g20 too often and by my own error make a mistake in my swing.

I really do think the AD DI shaft is the bomb though. even on mishits with the G20 they are usually pulls or pushes, not hooks or slices.

taking offers on the g20 BTW, if it's good enough I may simplify my bag.

I felt the same about my G15, it was so big and looked like a cannon so I tried to bomb it, I like hitting a little fade and the G15 wouldn't fade ever.. hooked all day. Oh well. I agree about the 910D3 being amazing.. Suprises me every day.

Maybe, I don't know what shaft I want in it yet, plus when I demo'd the 6.5 I sliced the ball into an office park.

I like mine, it's a 9.5, I wanted an 8.5 that was digitally lofted to 8.5 but I got mine for a song so I'm not going to complain, Tour AD QuattroTech MD7x is not boardy but not a whippy X either, very solid. Long enough for me distance wise, I'm going to cut it down to 44.5 since it's 45 now but it's solid, I just like a shorter driver so I can keep my posture more natural and not feel like I'm reaching too much..

This one is sticking. I20 8.5 45 inches, Diamana Kai'li 60X tipped 1" and purred. All of the same great stuff everyone says about the club, but this shaft in it makes it llllllong. Guy that sold it to me said it was 268 CPM. Perfect.

Go Noles!

Another round with the driver and it's solid. The longest driver I've ever had.
