Cleaned the clubs up after playing this afternoon, so I took some pictures and decided to make a post.  Last season I played to a 1.8, so I'm hoping by the end of the season I can get it down to under 1.

The Gamer Bag

Driver : Taylormade Burner 09.  Shaft is cut to 44.5"
3 wood : Callaway Steelhead III
5 wood : Callaway Steelhead III
Irons : Taylormade Rac MBs 3-PW ProjectX 6.0.  3 Iron rarely makes it to the bag.
Wedges : Titleist Vokey Oil Can Finish 52', 56', and 60'. S300's
Putter : Scotty Cameron Newport 2. 33"

My buddy is trying to convince my to buy his R11 with the RIP shaft, so the Burner might be getting replaced.  If thats the case, I'll have to convince myself to change my 3 and 5 wood.  The ones I'm gaming now are so old, but no matter what I buy, these just find there way back to the bag.  Its crazy.  So confident with these.  And they are steel shafted :)

Let me know what you guys think, and good luck to everyone this season.  Should be a good one

Its so funny man.  Such old equipment and every time I go to a tee people give you that " your playing mb's but using fairway woods from the 1990s" and you beat them by 10 shots.  They are working nice, I hardly ever miss them, and when I do the misses are still in play.  But with the new technology, its hard to keep them in play.  Thew new equipment is so long.  In the summer I average my 3 wood to about 250-260 off the tee.  I hit the RBZ last night at goldsmith on the machine they have.  280 carry.  I have some decisions to make ha

Great bag! Particularly the irons in both your gamers and backups...two of my favorites'! Particularly those X Forged; with the right shafts on them, they are second to none.
Well done!

Yeah i love the x forged, but the s300s aren't the right shaft for me.  If i had the 6.0's in them the clubs would be amazing.  Hit the  r11 today, and lets just say it's staying in the bag for a real long time.  I think I missed 1 fairway, and average drive was over 300.  I hit the ball long, but I'm never long with a driver.  6 iron is about 185-190 for me.  The X stiff shaft feels amazing, and the ball just jumps off the club face.  Had a Par 4 today, 332 from the plates, little downhill/downwind today.  I flew the ball on the green and ended up in the bunker behind it.  Club is amazing !

Cool bag, just got an R11 myself and really like it, probably cutting it to 44.5" for the start of the season though - wear of the sweetspot at that length on the range and you can really see the ball marks on the dark face.
How are you setting yours up?
I've gone back to my V Steel 3 wood, oldie but most solid I've hit..
Good luck getting to scratch, with the new driver it may be this season!

I love my steelhead 3 and 5 wood.  They're great clubs, however I really wouldn't mind giving something else a try.  I've had the super fast 2.0, super fast 2.0 TP, Burner 07, and Burner 09 3 woods.  None of them lasted more than 5 rounds :)  I'm really thinking about getting the r11 3 and 5 wood though after hitting the driver.  The way I have it set up, it has the X Stiff Blur shaft.  Not sure on the length of it to be honest.  Its a set up at 9.5 I believe.  My good friend is the assistant at the course I work at, and its his old club.  He set it up for me.  I think he said he put the weight in the toe rather than the heel? I'll talk to him and see how he has it set up for me.  Whatever he has it on, I LOVE it.  And its even better when the club was for free :)

You might want to take a look at the Adams XTD FW...supposed to be pretty hot of the face. I've tried the hybrid and the feel is amazing! I'm assuming the feel wont be much different between the hybrid and fairway..just thought i should throw in my 2 cents.

2 real classy setups.  i personally would have a hard time not gaming that #9.  maybe one of the easiest putters around to be accurate with.

Just found out the r11 is actually the TP version.  Amazing the things you find out ha.  And the Callaways are back in the bag for now.  No idea why I changed, but I did and must say, both sets of irons are nice, but the feel of the callaways are just that much better

I have a r11 3 wood with a prolaunch blue shaft. I have it a 16 degrees or so and i hit it a mile in the air! The variety of settings you can do is amazing, depending on how you play. I would recommend the r11 3 wood, it has a smaller head than the superfast 2.0 and is easy to hit. I usually hit it out of the rough or on the fairway. I usually never hit it off the tee. I also have the driver and its amazing. Last year I was a 24 handicap. This year already im progressing to a 15 and below (im 15 years old). These clubs really helped me out alot!

Nice man.  Keep it up! I got down to a 1.4 index last year, so who know's what will happen this season. As for getting the 3 wood, its a possibility.  I just find it hard to change out my steelhead even though they are just about considered ancient.  Hard to replace a club, when the club your replacing is your "money" club.  I always hit it off the tee.  I only hit driver max, 5-6 times a round.  I'm not the type of player that just wants to put the ball 300+.  I play it smart off the tee, and take the big number out of play. Your more likely to make a mistake with the big dog, than the little dog if you know what I mean haha

But I'm defiantly open to suggestions for a new 3 wood.  Can't say I'll pull the trigger but you never know.  Let me know what 3 woods you all decide to play, and a short review is very appreciated!

Little bump back up to the top since I'm now 100% in the market for some new fairway woods.  Also really starting to like the look of the ping i20's.  Decisions decisions haha

The Burner is nice, but its been replaced by a r11 TP with the extra stiff blur shaft.  And it is a Hoofer bag, but from like 3-4 years ago. Best bag hands down . I'm in love with it :)

When hit correctly, its LONG! But the last season or so I've been playing with a broken bone in my hand and its getting worst recently. Its hard for me to get my hands through so I can't tell if I'm in love with the club yet. Hard to tell when your swing isn't perfect. I'm used to shooting low-mid 70's and I'm shooting high 70's-low 80's thus far. Only time will tell

Been broken for almost 3 years now. I'm a trooper. Doctors want to put pins, rods and screws in my hand but I'm not trying to do that so I'm planning on it healing itself

I love the MBs personally. Some of my friends hit them and said they're hard to hit, but I find it the total opposite. And the head's are great, I just hate the fact its a steel shaft.

Little update on the bag. Nothing serious but might as well make the post. I changed bags from the Ping to my Titleist Lightweight. The ping bag is a better bag as far as looks go, but I'm going to try to walk more than riding this season and the Titleist has the dual straps while the Ping only has the one. It did come with two, but when I first got the Ping I was about 14-15 years old and said I'll never be walking. Things change, and I have yet to find a Tournament I can enter and take a cart. Would really like to purchase another bag ; Sun Mountain or Ogio because they go with anything ( as far as matching your bag and clubs because yes, I'm crazy like that!)

I still have the R11 TP in the bag for now. Can't make my mind up as if I want to keep it or not. Still not hitting it greay, however when you do, the ball just goes. Main problem is I can't control the misses, how on the Burner I knew that when I missed it, I would keep it out to the right.  With the R11, I miss both left and right Frustrating.

I posted earlier how I was looking into a new 3/5 wood. Anyone have experience with the RBZ's? I've heard it isn't a "players" club. Right now I'm playing to a 1.8 index.

Leave some feedback about the bag, and give me ideas on the 3/5 wood dilemma.  Thanks guys!
