Golfsmith's lead tape is great. I would advise you pick it up from the store though as opposed to the website due to all the issues they had there. I have always really liked the lead tape they sell though.

+1 Just make sure you clean the area of the club off with some acetone or something, otherwise nothing will stick to it.

The trick is to use a little saliva (on both sides) to allow the tape to adhere properly.  Not your own saliva of course, that would be silly.

My tape from golfsmith stays on very well.  Have a crapload on my belly putter and some on the conventional as well as a large strip on my 60 degree wedge and it works very well.

Thats probably lead tape for tennis. Its a good bit wide than the golf ones. Sports authority and dicks usually have it.

You might also try the rubber tungsten tape at Golfworks. A 1/2" x 1/2" square is equivalent to a 4" piece of lead tape and works well.

Most home improvement stores have them.. Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. Also for quick reference, a piece that you usually see 3in by .5in adds about one swing weight to an iron and weighs 2ish grams. Hope this helps!

Exactly. Using alcohol works a little better. Any lead tape will do, if you correctly clean the area first.

the maxfli lead tape that golf galaxy sells is good if not a bit expensive.

pretty high density at 0.75g / inch.

I bought some from another online retailer and it is 0.50 g / inch

haven't had a problem with either of them detaching from the club head.

only clubs in my bag that aren't lead taped are my SW, LW and Putter.
