I got a 2011 Titleist 14 way stand bag for Christmas and have only had it on the course once but to the range a bunch of times. So far I'm kind of regretting getting the 14 way dividers as a few of the slots are hard to get clubs in and out and there's more bag chatter than I would like. Also somewhat awkward trying to find the empty slot when you go to put a club back in the bag.

This is my first 14 way divider bag so I'm used to 5 or 6 way divider systems. Maybe it's going to grow on me but not sure. Thinking about selling and going with a Sun Mountain 3.5 or the Titleist equivelant. Anyone else have buyers remorse?

I picked up a TEE 14 way cart bag for Christmas. Its quite a large bag, but is pretty light but I will only use it with my push cart. Granted I haven't had it on the course yet but I think that there will be very minimal bag chatter, however if it were carried I think it would be pretty bad.
I love all of the storage, but the only thing that i hate is that there is no real place for my putter. I play a 33" Scotty, but the bag must be at least 35" deep, so the headcover is constantly falling off as it is bearing the entire weight of the putter, the slots are too narrow to stuff part of the headcover into it.. I'm thinking I'll either need to stuff something down the putter slot so this doesn't happen, or rig up an external putter well to my cart. Other than that it is a very good quality bad.

I'd say give it a little more time. I have a four5 14 divider stand bag, a Datrek 14 divider cart bag, a Team Effort 14 divider cart bag and a Mizuno 14 divider cart bag. I like the organization they give you with the slots. After awhile you get use to the slots and know exactly where each club goes. With the four5 , similar to yours, it do have a prblem with the clubs , midsize grips, getting hung up. As far as bag chatter goes does any bag prevent that?  Not a problem for me. I use iron covers....(Did I say that?)

I wouldn't buy one, I still like the 4 way divider that was on the old ping hoofer the best anyway.

I thought the 14 way had too much chatter.  Dumped mine after a few weeks.

I'm headed to Mesquite, NV next week for five straight days of golf so I may get use to it by the time I get back. Riding every day so I won't get a good feel for walking but at least I'll find out how well it works in a cart.

For a few years i wanted to use a 14 way bag so in the summer of 2011 i bought one used in great condition from play it again sports ,i used it one round and returned it , it's not that it was terrible but my expectations vs how the bag worked were not the same so i just went back to a staff bag , sure there is at times some club chatter but i like the extra room so clubs did not feel like i had to force them both in and out of the bag at times and i like the extra room for a sweat shirt and a rain suit

I don't regret it and I think my c130 is an outstanding bag, but I would say the 14 way top is not the panacea that I had thought. It does keep my clubs better organized but clubs still chatter and sometimes it can be a little tricky getting the club back in the bag because you have to be more precise. Like everything it has its pros and cons.

I've had a couple of 14 way bags, the best feature for me is that I quickly now if I'm missing a club.  That said, I think my next club will be something more along the lines of a 7 way divider.

Bought one last year and returned it without using it.  Did not like the chatter and how it looked after clubs all in it.  I like the Titleist lightweight bag the best.

I've always used 14 way bags and don't think I'd ever get one with less, I'm ocdish so I like having a slot for each club.

I have a Ping Hoofer, A Nike Sasquatch 14 (I won that one) and a new SM 4.5 14.  I much prefer 14 way tops if the dividers are full length as I have no grip tangle and easy club entry/exit.

cut a section of 1 1/4 dow rod, and drop it in the slot...walk down that asile at Hope Depot, and there will probably be a scrap piece laying around

Had an OGIO bag with a 14-way divider.  I don't remember exactly why, but it drove me crazy and the bag went away.  I think it was because the Winn midsize grips I use would always "catch on the way in and out of the bag.  Whatever it was, the bag had to go.  I'm a smaller staff bag guy because I like the room to get clubs in and out without a hassle.

Well, after five days in Mesquite, NV last week playing a different course each day for five days, I'm still not sure what to think. I love the look of the bag and the pockets seem to fit my needs well. I'm still mixed about the 14 way dividers though. I rode in a cart the entire trip and the bag worked well enough and I didn't notice that much club chatter but I did find it awkward trying to find the right slot each time I put a club back in, especially the ones in the center two rows which don't get used as much as the outter ones but still annoying.

I do like how easy it is to find the club I need for a particular shot and I did not find putting clubs back in difficult. Strange thing is that every time I go in to a golf store or shop, I find myself looking at bags thinking that I will find the perfect replacement but don't really see anything that I would like better. I was really hoping that my trip last week would enlighten me enough to decide on keeping or selling, but I just don't see anything better at this time.

After many years I have found that there is no such thing as the perfect bag.  The ten I have sitting in my garage attest to that.  As for the 14-way dilemma, there is also no perfect bag top either.  A 14-way can be a major pain if the top is smaller than 10 inches, especially if you have grips like Winn Excels.  They will get caught on the slots every time.  The Titleist 7-way top is ok but you end up organizing the clubs in pairs and take pains to keep them that way.  The four slots on most Sun Mountain bags now seem like too few.  I'm trying a Callaway RAZR bag now with a 10" 14-way top, so we'll see how that goes.  Good luck!

Don't you have to have iron covers for a 14 way bag to complete the Look?

I have a 14 way cart bag a 14 way stand bag and a 4 way stand bag.  I use the 4 way stand 90% of the time.  On a cart bag 14 way works well because they make the top stadium style where it has tiers to help separate the clubs.  If you only ride a 14 way cart bag is good if you walk with a 14 way stand bag everything bangs around too much, at least for me.

I have a 2011 Titleist 14 way bag that I don't like much. I posted on here how it's difficult to get clubs in and out of it and got flamed by a member. I like the look of the bag but functionality is crap at best FOR ME. I checked out the thread on here about the 2012 Titleist lighjtweight bag and that's what I'm getting now.

14 way dividers can definitely be a love hate deal, if you like bringing extra clubs to the range it also can pose a problem. I CLEARLY have OCD so they appeal to me however they aren't what many expect them to be. I am surprised to read that some see more chatter, I've had the opposite experience. Then again, I do not use mine to walk...BB

I haven't bought a bag without 14 dividers (and lately a separate putter well) in at least 5 years.

Easy to organize and identify if left a club (which I don't, but obvous if you do)

BTW< I also have iron covers to 'complete the look' as one poster inquired, keeps my forged babies looking new, and keeps them quiet.

I hated it!

Until my Pitttsburgh Steeler bag came in and it had the 14 way divider... I have had it for almost 2 years now and its no problem. I really dont have a opinion one way or another, but def not against it by any means... I would say - Give it some time.. At least about 10 rounds or so.. Go from there..

I absolutely hated mine. I had an old Ogio carry bag that I had kicked around for a long time and bought a Datrek last summer with the 14 way divider. Hated it!!! I play in a lot of tournaments and like to play fast - I hated having to poke around for the empty slot to put the club back into. Same thing at the range.

I ended up buying a used Ogio Grom here on BST and would happily buy another one. But seemingly EVERY new carry bag - at least the ones I think are half decent looking - now come with the 14 way dividers. Yuck.

I also bought a Ogio used in great shape at a local Play it again sports , it made it 18 holes and i returned it ,it might have been the worse bag i have ever owned , small pockets, limited room for accessories and what seemed to be clubs becoming stuck and difficult to remove from almost every hole , it was a definate one time only thing for me anyway
