Have made a few changes to my bag for the 2013 season. The big change has been a new set of Nike VR Pro Combo CB irons with KBS C-Tapers. So far really liking the feel of the C-tapers compared to the DG. Also, just put in a NIke Method 003 putter. Have not had a chance to get out and use it but love the look and feel.

I am considering taking out my Vokey wedges and adding in some new Nike VR Pro wedges. Has anyone made the switch from Vokey's to Nike wedges?

Updated Bag:

9.5* 910D3- Ahina
15* 910F - Ahina
19* 910H- Project X
Nike VR Pro Combo CB (4-PW), KBS C-Taper S+
Vokey SM 52.08
Vokey SM 56.14
Vokey SM 60.07
Nike Method Putter, 35in, Iomic grip

Nice bag... I'm especially liking the 003.  I've been using one for a few months now and I'm starting to find my groove with it.

Thanks! I would definitely recommend giving the pro combo cb's a try. They look great at address and feel super solid at impact. I feel like I have also picked up some distance with the new iron/shaft combo.

I have not seen that many people from Portland on this website. Where do you normally play?

Thanks! In my opinion the 003 is Nike's best looking putter. In my limited practice I have noticed the method rolls the ball very nice.

Nice! I have never played Rock Creek. I usually play at Persimmon CC but recently moved to Vancouver so I play at Camas Meadows and Heron Lakes. I am ready for the weather to get nicer because I am excited to start playing more. We should hook up and play sometime...

Sounds good. Yea we have been lucky this season so far. For us, we have dealt with frost delays that have made it tough the last couple of weeks.

The weather sucks today in Portland! So great day to update the witb and watch college football.

I ended up getting a Nike Vapor golf bag and VR forged wedges earlier this season. So far the bag has been awesome. I always walk and this bag is much lighter than my Titleist bag. It also has tons of storage for a smaller bag. The vr pro wedges have been great. I have gamed vokey wedges for years and have really been impressed with the Nikes. They have a great look and nice feel. I love the versatility of the dual sole grind on my 58* wedge.

Recently I started gaming a set of AP2 with c-tapers. So far I have been really impressed with the forgiveness, feel and workability. The AP1 four iron has also been a greet addition. I am looking forward to playing more rounds with these new sticks.

I have also been messing around with driver shafts. I have been testing a Proforce V2 in my 910D3. I played this shaft for years in a 905R and always liked the results. So we will have to see if the Proforce can beat out the ahina.

I also wanted to share a few pictures from my trip back to Firestone Country Club. I had the opportunity to go back to Akron and play all three courses a couple weeks after the Bridgestone. All three courses were amazing. I think my favorite out of the three was the North.

Current setup:

910D3 9.5* Proforce V2
910F 15* Project X Graphite
910H 19* Project X Graphite
712 AP1 4 iron C-taper
712 AP2 5 thru PW C-taper
VR forged wedge 52*
VR forged dual sole wedge 58*
Method 003 Super Stroke Slim 2.0

My pw is 47 degrees so I have a 5 degree gap between my pw and 52. In the past I have played four wedges (pw, 52, 56, 60) but this year decided to drop one and go with the pw, 52, and 58.  Since the dual sole on the 58 is so easy to open up and hit high I found the 60 wedge kind of pointless. Plus having only 3 wedges has made me a little more decisive.

It's a mid sized grip with a couple wraps underneath. You can probably pick one up on ebay.

Nice sticks.... you from the Akron area originally?  You said something along the lines of "go back to that area"... and I agree with you the North is the best of the 3 there no doubt.  In my opinion the greens are almost always better at the North versus the South and the course is in better all around shape and FUN.  I wish they'd take the WGC to the North as it would be an awesome finish with 15-16-17-18... risk/reward great tournament golf holes.
