This is beautiful. I really like the holes in the cavity to see the insert. It seems though it would make the material below the topline thinner.
I've also always wondered if the screw directly behind the sweet spot adds to impact.

Not knocking the putter, but that doesnt even look like demascus steel...I've seen demascus that's been folded and have some of the most amazing colors, patterns from folds that are amazing....this does the title of a demascus insert no justice....again, just my opinion....but working with demascus is an art in itself, and this is very boring for what the potential of demascus steel has.....again, all just an opinion

I have demascus tattoo machines, my friend hand makes them, and when i think demascus, this type of steel comes to mind.....would love a putter head made with this type of steel, there are endless colors, patterns.....not for everybody, but def think a putter head would find its way into my bag made of this steel

Most of the Damascene steels that I have seen have a secondary finishing process to bring out the difference in layers.  I once heard from Tad Moore (Happy Birthday, Tad!) that his 303/304 Damascus putters were milled and then placed in an acid solution.  The difference between the two stainless steels created different finishes after reacting with the acid and highlights the layers.

Tai's Damascus Byron has a different finish, but again had the treatment applied to bring out the grain.

That's awesome, wish there were more to see...it's such a unique metal....

Tad Moore's 303/304 staniless Damascus putters.  These were out long before anyone else was even thinking of working with Damascus.

The link above is to Pure745's Damascus Byron Morgan collection.  Pure745 has an incredible putter collection, but these Byrons have to be near the top.

I have held the poutter in my hand at Mikes shop and can assure you it is real damascus steel. It must be the light when he took the picture, becasue in hand you can clearly see the patterns.

I was by know means knocking it, as an artist I appreciate everyones work, which in person I'm sure it does show more of the grain/patterns of metal....and would def like to see more like the Byron shown above...even just for collectors, such a unique metal...thx for you insight:)

Sorry but not the light or how I shot the photos.  I commented while I was taking the photos that the insert really didn't look much like Damascus steel cuz you really could't see any pattern.

You can definitely see the damascuss pattern in the back cavity looking in. Must be the light when looking at the insert from the front.

Great looking putter. Making me want a piretti more and more.

the process to make damascus steel has been unknown since the early 17th century so this is probably just cool looking steel

Looks unfinished to show the back of the insert through the cavity, is that by design or are these just Prototype versions?  Also resembles the Cameron Buttonback down to the exact shape and size of screws.

Nice to see something different with an insert/damascus but this one is not for me. I really dislike the cavity and it does not look like damascus at all. Also think the writing damascus on the face is unneeded. But like I said I am glad to see piretti pushing the envelope a bit.
