From time to time we se a bag that catches our eye. This one caught mine earlier tonight. Love it. Tom Lehman's bag from last month has a mosh pit of clubs but so does Jesper.

The funniest thing is that the only Cobra in his bag is the bag itself.  Major props to a pro who takes sponsorship money from a company he doesn't sponsor.  Don't hate the player hate the game.

His deal is the bag and clothes, which he's wearing. Was no different than when Snedeker had his Bridgestone bag, but I think only played the ball.

I am amazed how beat up his woods are.  The faces and grooves on the irons are full of dirt.  Is that old ugly wood a training aid for him or used to loosen up or something?

It looks like one of those random bags out in front of a Play It Again.

Looking down at address for those woods, might be a little distracting (at least for me it would be), especially with the driver...

Hes like a guy that i caddy for . This guy is 6-6 ex linebacker and and needs 1 inch extensions and he hates headcovers so he takes them off before the round and leaves them in the sahck or just throws them away we dont realy know. So whenever we hear that we will be caddying for him we all grab about 5 towels to wrap around his woods and hybirds so we dont have to listen to them clank the whole round , well he usually ends up using the towel to wipe his profuse sweat or blow his nose so we discard the towles asap and as a result his woods looked like you bragged them behind a train

He trained so much, that his body was already ruined by the age of 30. He has synthetical hip joints and one part of his backbone was fractured. (Excuse the lack of correct explanations, English ist not my first language. I hope you understand what I´m trying to say.)

What the hell is he paying his caddie for? A little warm water and a club brush can go a long way.

I think of the PGA Tour commercial where the guy says he couldn't tell you who Jesper Parnevik; at this point most golf fans wouldn't either!

I played golf with a guy who had a real player's bag, but the clubs looked absolutely beat to hell.

He was 70 years old, with a Nakashima driver with a Fuji Speeder (562???) shaft, Mizuno blades that had Faldo like wear spots, Vokey wedges, no hybrid, Cally X Hot fairway woods, and an Otey Crisman putter.

He shot a smooth 75 and beat me by 10 strokes.

He broke my stones after the round while we were having lunch and said:  "You need to worry more about your game and not how your clubs look.  They are tools.  Tools get beaten up."

i agree so much with this post. my clubs are tools. they should get worn out!! having a set of irons with worn spots and bag chatter says a lot.

He is with Titleist for shoe/ball/glove.

I can't believe how beat up the woods are... I wish I could just destroy $900 drivers at will.

If a set of clubs could get addicted to the hard stuff, that is what they would look like.

Saw him hit a driver on 18 at Colonial about 8 years ago and there was a piece of tape hanging off the hosel blowing in the wind like a thread. He wasn't distracted by it at all.

First off, there are 16 clubs in that bag. So I have to assume that rock on a stick has to be some sort of swing aid, but I would assume it still counts as a club??? He was also demo'ing a different putter in that picture. And he has one random Diablo iron, I'm guessing 2 or 3 iron. Very interesting.

Can anyone shed any light on that old wood?

I love it! He uses those clubs like they were meant to me used!

Look at the 906 in the first pic.  If it was clean you'd notice the browning on the sweet spot dead center of the face.  Now my wedges and to an extent my irons show browning but not my 3w!  The dude still stripes the ball.

It is a weighted, training club

Thanks, I was kinda wondering about that too - I was thinking the head shape looked like one of the old Titleist PT's with the ferrule missing.

I can't believe the condition of his woods though, I guess he couldn't find headcovers that properly accessorized with his outfits! For me, that many paint chips around the head would be a visual distraction.

James Driscoll is any player who does not use head covers on his woods.  There are a few pictures in the Honda photos of his clubs as well.  They are pretty beat.  I was joking with Driscoll's caddy on Tuesday at the Honda about not having to worry about ever losing a cover.  He laughed!

i've always really liked this guy... straight shooter that said it like it was. no phony rhetoric (like phil and others).
i hope he can find some game again... just in time for the senior tour in 3 years.
hang in there jesper.
