It's been a 906 all week. When Faldo said something about it being a new model I just shook my head and continued watching. It may be a different 906, but it's not the new proto he made it seem.

I got this pic off the pgatour.com website yesterday. Definitely a 906! Just maybe not the 906F2...

I think the 906FZ could be legit!

I've played a 906F2 13* for a few years. Best Titleist fw IMO! But I thought the one Rory was hitting today looked like it had a deeper face. I would actually stand by that statement haha

I just saw him tee off #1 and he's 100% still gaming a 906.

I believe Rors hit 5 wood off #1 this morning.  It's definitely a 906, I only say that because JP put on a head cover on that club, where as the 3 wood gets "dog" headcover normally.. Unless he or I switched that around.

Are we sure it isn't some kind of prototype that they made look like the 906? I am hearing them say new 3 wood at least 5 times a round. I'd like to think they aren't dumb enough to keep saying that without checking...

Doesn't look like a 910. It definitely doesn't have the 910 shaft adapter. It's a standard hosel with an epoxied shaft.

I know that taylormade shaves the faces of their woods to the USGA limit for their tour players. Titleist may have done that for Rory. That may explain the insane distances

Or it could just be where they are playing. everyones been hearing Faldo say new 3wd but nobodys picked up on the fact that they've been saying the ball is going at least 10% farther....

I never said that Rory doesn't hit the ball far. I was saying that shaving the face would help him hit it even further. For example, a kid on the golf team at Coastal went to the taylormade fitting center in Georgia. He got fitted to a driver and then they shaved the face which instantly added 15 plus yards.
