Hello all

I recently purchased a players towel and wanted to let you know my thoughts  I was initially sceptical of spending $25 on a towel when I can get them at the course for free.  I ended up purchasing one because I am helping a friend look into tee gifts for an upcoming tournament he is running and we wanted to see what they were like. All I can say is WOW. You don't know what you are missing until you try one of these. They are super light, great looking, and the putter slit is awesome.   I have always had trouble with the my towel falling off my bag or getting tangled up in my clubs and the putter slit eliminates both of these problems. I probably had ten people come up to me to ask about my towel and feel the weight of it compared to a normal towel.  They also seem to stay wet longer than a normal towel.  If you are running a tournament these would be great tee gifts.   I will tell you that the players towel is worth every bit of the money that you will spend on it. I like the Players Towel so much I won't think of buying another "regular" towel again.

That said, the Club Glove towel is a better towel, I have both.  I use the Players Towel, though, because I could order one without the putter slit, whereas CG does not give you that option.

The putter slit is handy, but not when you're wiping your face and that slit turns into a hole in the middle of the towel.  It's also a pain when cleaning clubs, in my opinion.  All in all I'd rather have no slit.

Could not agree more.  Here is one I just bought for my dad from my daughter for his birthday.

Love mine, too! Really cleans the iron grooves perfectly. Not sure how or why...gotta be the perforated material that gets the dirt out.

Question when customizing them on the site, and you choose 'flag' as the logo and you type in the flag name. (portugal for example)

Will the flag of portugal be embroidered on the towel.

Thanks been looking for a towel and I think this is it.

I use the putter slit to keep the towel from falling off my bag. You put your putter through the slit and the towel stays attached. Then when you pull your putter out the towel comes with it. Simple idea but works great.

Another option for guys who don't like the towel coming with the putter when you grab it, I put my alignment sticks through the slit to hold the towel in place. Works awesome.

Yup. At least you use your alignment sticks...I just carry mine around for two purposes...as my towel holder and to be a poser!

I got one of these that has Bettinardi logos on it. It's white with the happy/sad theatre janus (sp?) masks on it in various colors. It's almost too nice to rub dirty clubs with!   My Nike towel may have finally died after about 5 seasons. Might be time to crack this puppy out. Thanks for the push!

Lol Asong, I have that blue Callaway bag! Well, now my wife uses it. They are also handy for impromptu fencing sessions while waiting for slow groups. Spread the word

I'm thinking of getting one of these as well,  does anyone have a picture of one with a flag on it, just to see what it looks like

Assuming that they offer the Portuguese flag as an option, yes, they will embroider the flag on the towel (and it appears that they will do any country since they leave the box open for you to type). They're not just going to embroider "Portugal" as text. I haven't ordered one but I can guarantee that the logo will be the actual flag...not too difficult to figure out...

Maybe that's one of the reasons that she's not die-hard into golf...you're giving her your sloppy seconds! I really need to clean my basement...I have like 5 or 6 pairs of brand new, still-in-the-box shoes, in addition to the 5 or 6 pairs that I rotate through when I play...talk about hoarding...

Fencing, eh...will give it a try. I might also try using them as javelins.

That is the Social towel from last summer - kool-aid faces.  Very cool and great quality towel.

Sweet looking but agreed...I don't own one but it'd hard to wipe mud across them. It kinda reminds me of that multi-color Vuitton pattern:

Is that a Bethpage Players towel?

Affirmative on the Bethpage, negative on the Player's...it's a Club Glove towel...very similar to the Player's (waffled microfiber, same size, has putter slit). It was bought at Bethpage...but you can buy a plain one or monogrammed one directly from Club Glove (and it comes with a small 8"x12" pocket/ball towel for free):

Club Glove Caddy Towel

Use coupon code "MG011312" for 30% off. If you monogram it for the extra $10, with the coupon, it comes down to $20.97 and without monogramming, just $13.97. Not as nice looking as the Player's, but most certainly a better value.

Sorry, didn't mean to thread jack away from the Player's Towel...

That's the one! I also got a T-shirt from them. They accidentally shipped one of the putters from the Social to me (guy had same name as me.) I told them a $1,200 Tour putter just showed up at my house unexpectedly, and they were nice enough to send me these as a thank you for bringing it to their attention. Very nice of them!

I picked up a black w/ red piping last season. Only complaint was that the black was more of a light gray smoke color.

Anyone know if this is still the case?

Just ordered a towel, Pat was super nice and quick to respond to emails.

I left the design in his hands and I cant wait to see how it came out.

I will post pictures of the towel when I get it.
