I have it on a Droid. Well worth the $5. Nothing like the full version, but still good.

I saw an advertisement for an attachment that will clip to your bag to hold your phone when video recording. anyone have experience with this or know of a way to mount the phone so someone else doesn't have to hold the phone. Is this program even worth getting for using video captured by phone. not really the best of cams. i know it won't record high speed all that great, but maybe better than nothing.

I bought like a $5 tripod on ebay and a $1 phone case. Then I just zip tied the case to the tripod. It works great and I don't have to move my bag around and in other stalls to get a face on shot.

I have seen the stands that you speak of and I am sure they work well. You could also use a Gorilla Tripod and just wrap it around your iron heads.

As soon as I replace my ip4s I'm going to utilize the V1 and either a Joby Gorillamobile or some type of knockoff version. I had the original joby for my point and shoot and it worked great.

Is the thee V 1 any good for just studying Pro's swings?

Or is there a better App for that?

Only for the models that they have loaded in the data base. I think there are about 20-30 pros. Youtube is better....

My golf coach uses this app for his instruction. After my lesson is done he sends me what we went through with video through v1 and tells me what to work on. I also send him a quick video of my swing weekly and he lets me know if I am making progress on what we have been working on. Works great

I use the full version on my iPad and record myself.  I can also email it to my swing coach so he can review it.  It's well worth the money...

Well, there's a free version you can try.

But, it doesn't handle the MJPG file format that the Casio line of cameras (and many others) uses.  There's some odd color shift with it.  Like a ghost type image (like one of the color channels is shifted 50 pixels or something).

I emailed the developer and even sent them a test video, but after a couple of e-mails he blew me off, so I'm really not interested in supporting their product.

Note, this is for the droid OS.

I bought it for my droid incredible 2 and it works great.  While the video is not as good as the smooth super high speed camera vids, (that is more of a limitation of the phone) you can clearly analyze your swing and compare it to professional golfers swings in super slow motion.  You can also drawing lines, circles and it auto calculates angles.

I also have it for the ipad, but haven't tried it yet.

Works great, definitely love this app. I use a mini tripod I bought off amazon and just balance it on my bag. Great for those days when something is off in my swing and I dont have time to take a lesson or work with someone but just need a quick fix. Great app.

Nice idea with the mini tripod.

Yeah this app exceeded my expectations.  I used the demo version for a bit and decide it was well worth the $5.  I haven't even begun to exploit all the features, except for the simple stuff.

I will post another update when I try it on the ipad2.  Anyone else try it on the ipad2?
