Not sure if this is old news or not but are these new from Ecco?

I wonder if they are Eccos or Ashworth's new version of a casual shoe?

It's Ecco's new BIOM Hybrid Golf Shoe.  They are very slick looking.

Looks like the ones the male model on the ecco website is wearing in the golf section.

EDIT...

and looking at the site, they've updated it since last night to include pics of the shoe it looks like.

These are great shoes but they are priced higher than the Streets at at $189. Might be something to consider given the number of street options available these days.

I was at the Ecco store in Monterey, and they had these in the Pebble Beach pro shop.  All of their new street shoes are waterproof, which is a nice change from last year.  I love my Ecco Streets, but am glad that their replacements will keep my feet dry!!!

Saw these the other day and really liked them.  Previously I've tried on the Street Premier and the toe is just too narrow.

Tried on a pair of the Biom.  DELICIOUS!!!  Most comfortable shoe I've ever put on, just can talk myself into $200+ for golf shoes.

Yikes... am I the only one that hates these?  I think they look like Simple skate shoes from the mid-90s... which isn't a compliment.

I have the white and red ones and they are by far the best golf shoe I've worn.

I'll stick with Nike, Foot Joy or Addidas, way too many options for under $100 out there.

I have a pair of Ecco Streets that I picked up last April. I've played over 100 rounds in them, and a lot of practice sessions. They are still in great shape and very comfortable.

Would you be able to compare the performance of the Biom and Biom hybrids with the advantages and disadvantages you found?  Comfort, support, waterproof/resistance, etc?

In an ideal world we could have both, but as you know they're quite the chunk o change.

Just bought a pair of Pro Streets from ebay new in the box for 98 shipped ;)  The original models of course, but they're insanely comfy if they fit your foot.

I have been wearing the biom hybrids for a while now. They are only slightly more confortable than the ecco streets, and are a little taller as well. I like the look of the hybrids better but prefer the closer to the ground feel of the streets. Also have a pair of the new puma hc lux and they are very good as well.
