I am looking for recommendations for a quality club fitter in Los Angeles area. What I hope to find is someone with a solid inventory of heads and shafts from the core club makers (and not just component makers' clubs) who has all the measuring equipment, the opportunity to also hit balls outside and who is skilled in the process.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. thx

Thanks. That got me started - I see them, the Club Fix, then the Carlsbad Golf Center and the Fitting Studio in Long Beach.

Anyone used these (or other places)? Any specific people to suggest?

The Fitting Studio in Long Beach is top notch. All the clubs, shafts, launch monitor, outside range, and skilled fitter/builder. The complete "Tour Van" experience. Call 714 794 8214 and ask for Matt.

The Fitting Studio is a nice place. Grass range etc.. Unfortunately they still use the "old" Flightscope which seems to be problematic sometimes with irons. Matt is super nice and knowledgable.
I think stating "all the clubs and shafts" is a bit overstating it. They lack Titleist equipment as well as Callaway which to me is a pretty big hole in their offering.

Its a great place to get fit and their "tour fitting" (whole bag fitting) is pretty reasonably priced at 249$ for about 4.5 hours.

If they don't have Titleist and Callaway, then I think I will look elsewhere. I had presumed they had both as one of their pages has a footer animation where these two brands appears...  I will email them and ask.  Thanks for that info.

check out Steve Carfano's Golf Shop in Newport Beach.  He used to be an exec. with Roger Dunn and does a killer job fitting you, doesnt have the crazy selection on shafts but still has a good amount and can really help out.  He doesnt charge anything for the fitting and is a really nice guy, also has competitive pricing.  Plus, there is an outdoor range right next door, but his Trackman is good enough for me.
