What was the process of these finishes being decided? Will KBS be coming out with more colors? Were there any focus groups or feedback from players involved? Thanks!

Does the coating on the shaft affect the wt and flex of the shaft?   Do you have to alter the shaft construction to allow for the coating?

From a metalurgy perspective - what's next?  Graphite...steel....carbon fibres...what's the future going to bring us in terms of shaft constructions?

First off...THANK YOU FOR MAKING CTAPER SHAFTS!!  :hi:

I love the color options on the steel shafts...we already went thru the 'shaft skins' phase, but let's not go there.

Will there be any other colors in the system shortly?  and do you plan to offer 'satin' look in the  white, black, etc in the CTapers in the near future...I have some wedges calling to join in the fun with the rest of the irons!

What can you say about the durability of the color on the shafts?  :bb:

Thank you for taking the time to talk to us!!

Does a wedge flex shaft play an important role in bunker shots, or are the shafts more tailored for turf interaction and full swings?

In the case of a scratch or chip do you offer touch up bottles of matched paint?  Btw I'll take mine with the White Pearl.  Thanks!

Could you speak to the durability of the finish, for instance how would it compare to a powder coating?

What prompted the concept...I mean, what made you guys think, "We should offer custom colored shafts for golfers,"?

Since this is somewhat of a new concept, what do you anticipate the marketing response to be?

What effect will plus length shafts have on swing weight and performance ie overall flex? Thanks for the time.

Why did you choose to make the logo a decal all the sudden? the sticker looked cool but it always came off. Also, do you anticipate this being a trend? Do you expect the other OEMs to offer similar products?

Thanks for speaking with us!

I currently use KBS Tour shafts in my wedges but different shafts in my irons.  I haven't always been like that.  In the past, I've used a constant shaft type through the set all at the same flex then moved to stiffer in the irons and softer in the wedges.  What led me to the change is that, from my experience, there really is a difference between how my irons and wedges are played and as such, a different shaft is preferred.  From a design/engineering perspective, what specifications do you look for when you design a wedge shaft vice an iron shaft?  How do you design your shafts for the stresses of the golf swing - ie do you engineer "fixes" to what happens to the shaft during the swing (droop, torque, etc) or do you design those occurrences into the shaft to achieve a certain result?

You've now got the KBS Tour, the Tour 90, the C-Taper and the 2 wedge shafts in your line up which seems to cover almost all the bases.  Where do you see KBS going next?

Are there any plans to release a C TAPER HYBRID SHAFT? If not, could I strongly urge you to consider making plans?

Do you reccomend the use of golf bag separator tubes?  How did the finish react to use in a stand bag without separators?

The new finishes look great!  One question I have is what is the durability like?  When TaylorMade released the white R11 line last year, durability was somewhat of a concern with the white finish chipping and rubbing off on drivers and putters.

Has there ever been an attempt at KBS to create a coating that can act as a buffer to mute the vibration of steel for those that like the feel graphite irons, but like the weight of steel?

I recently switched from Cleveland CG7 tours with KBS tour stiff shafts  To  Srixon Z-Star with C-Taper stiff.
I I had problems with my old irons where well hit balls would spin so much they would balloon. (regularly backing up a 7 iron from 165-70yds, not what I wanted)
The new irons with C-Tapers seem to help alot and feel great, Thanks.

My question is:
I love the directional feel of the C-Tapers and want to reshaft my CG-14 50*, 55* & 60* wedges (S-400 now) with a shaft that will keep the feel consistent with the other irons.
What would you suggest? C-Taper, Hi rev, Wedge shaft or something else?
Thanks,

D.J.

Thanks to KBS for supporting WRX and we love returning the favor!

KBS has really rounded out the market with a shaft for all golfers, besides offering amazing new finishes on shafts, what direction is KBS going and what are some short term goals on the company?

Thanks in advance and best of luck in 2012!! (and to DJ this week)

I recently tried the C-Tapers and compared them to my current shafts the Tours.  I know that the C-Taper is a bit heavier (5g) but they felt much heavier.  To my surprise, my swing speed was the same and I actually seemed to be a bit more consistant (according to the launch monitor) with the,.  Why do the C-Tapers feel so much heavier than the Tour shafts?  Does this "feel" have anything to do with the consistency of the shafts?

I presume you do a lot of testing with tour pros prior to releasing a product to Market?
My question to you is what are the most frequent specifics a professional golfer comes to expect from a steel shaft and how do these specifics differ from iron to wedge shafts?

Great shafts, Great company, Keep up the great work!!
