Wilson TO me that has "walmart" sort of name brand
you know, the cheap set that comes w all three woods, irons, putter and a bag for $199
i know they make quality stuff for sure, but i dont think i could play it (yes im a snob)
on another note, Barnes is a stud

If you really think about it however, these three qualities also describe one of the most heralded and highly respected manufacturers of irons ever - Mizuno. Although they may not have put out as many low end clubs over the years as Wilson, I would equate Mizuno in Japan with Wilson (traditionally) in the U.S. Pretty similar companies.
By the way, Wilson has made and continues to make some of the best irons in the business. If I could afford them I would be playing the FG Tours (V1) right now.

The brand seems to want to stick to the nice-guy players, clean-cut............someone like Adam Scott or Steve Stricker would be ideal to join the Staff, but I guess it would take a huge amount of money to drag them away from Titleist (who they seem happy with), and it goes back to the fact that Wilson Staff don't have (or don't want to spend) that type of money.
Shame as the irons are awesome. I play the FG Tour V2s and adore them!

Of course I had to get rid of the stock shaft. It still baffles me there new hybrids come with a sick UST VTS but the drivers have terrible stock shafts. VooDoo? Ozik? It's 2012. Seriously.
