.  Would the right scapula be a backswing instrument and the left scapula be important in the downswing,

Important yes.

8Iron Hans
Progress made with tweaked instruction set.
4 swings in a row, last one also showed in slow motion.

Dont comment if you have no clue.
Even worse dont comment if you believe you have a clue when you dont.
You failed the challenge so your just full with nonsense.
Clueless.

Flopper.  Go hide in the corner with dtowngolf; cover your ears and listen very carefully.  The angle of the swing you posted makes him look better than he is.  He has a lot of work to do.  But in regards to your challenge I would like to remind you that nobody here has private planes.  If I did then I would not travel to Sweden; and I would not be seen trying to play a 25 HC

Post the swing from this angle and aimed at the red so everyone can properly assess what changes are being made and laud you for your accomplishments.

No axe to grind here nor favour either camp, but;

If the published swing angle, which I cannot veiw on my phone, doesn't enable decent perspective in which to comment on swing improvement ~ how then is one able to give an accurate critique on the flaws/impediments?

As a bystander only...
the Austin thing is intriguing,
i have the DVD,
i found the book lying around at the driving range pro shop,
so i am scanning it now.
but i see it is available at amazon
it actually seems more informative than the dvd
I think what i like about is that it could be quite useful and easy enough on a 60 year old body.
I already have a square to path takeaway, good tempo from years of practice,
experimenting now with getting the hips moving and the left knee coming in not out,
still as ever i never "find my way" back to the ball properly,
today's suspicion is that is due to the shaft going outside the hands in the downswing,
the shaft goes up to steep and comes down too steep, i see this on video of my swing.
that wil be today's range practice, keeping the club head sort of under/behind the hands.

I hope you don't my responding however I don't believe this to be the best source of information for learning the MA swing type and principles. I took a lesson from Dan ( i also have the book you reference and other materials from Dan) and while he's a very nice man, i find that he has added his interpertation of Mike's swing concepts that i find conflicts w/ alot of MA direct instructional info, i.e., austinology and gimi as two examples. I would however recommend Steve Pratt's web site (no i don't receive fees for recommending). The most important aspect about the swing is learning to swing properly around a stable C7 ..... as a starting point i might add that it is the only part of your anatomy that stays on plane the entire swing. Everything else supports this motion ... there is alot to understand about what Mike Austin taught and i can say from experience that the journey is well worth the effort...

I can offer what Mike Austin actually taught over many years. I have posted clips of actual lessons with Mr. Austin at www.mentoredbythelegend.com. They come without the twisting, pulling and tongue lashing that I endured. Hope they shed some light on the subject and help players out. I can tell you that he helped  me immeasurably and I witnessed some amazing results in other students (men and women, young and old) in terms of both power and accuracy.

Camera angle is off again.  Hans is still tipping out.  Look at the right elbow and right heel.
