I golf about once every two weeks, so not really enough to change my dress habits (although I'd like to expand my horizons!) I have a brown pair of Adipure Zs, and I really like it since I typically wear khaki shorts and whatever color of polo, with a brown matching belt (that I wear everywhere). Works well for me, but I really want to get a white pair of Icons, Adipure Zs, or something!

All of my shoes (except one pair of solid brown) are all two-tone. White with accent trim in either black, brown, blue, red, or combinations. All are Footjoy brand - mostly Classics and Icons.

You guys are a really bad influence!:russian_roulette:  About a week or so ago, I posted that I had never owned a pair of black shoes and low and behold, as of today, I now have five pairs of shoes after buying a pair of black FJ Superlites,  a pair of white/tan FJ Superlites and a pair of white FJ Sports. Oh, and I'm really tempted to pick up a pair of new Tour 360's from a member here that just happen to be in my size. :fool:  I think I'm going to avoid this part of the forum for a while!

It's simply a MAJOR golf fashion mistake to mis-match the belt color and the shoe color.  Gotta make sure everything is flowing together....

Marty Hackel disagrees with you, and I'll take his side.  He's the expert.

Pair of white Adipures and a pair of black Tour360s. Thinking about getting a pair of Nike bandon rain boots and some 2012 True Tours.

I'm a 4 handicap 43 year old and I wear whatever strikes me as fun.  I have multiple all blacks and whites with saddles (no all white shoes).  I play at a muni 99% of the time in jeans (or shorts) and a golf shirt.  I've yet to be mocked (at least to my face) for my shoe selection (I do try to coordinate a little).  The golf course, to me, is almost a sacred place (no screwing around....always observe proper etiquette, etc.).  That being said, shoes and hats can add a little flair to the game without damaging the integrity.  All that being said, my favorite pair are all black Oakley semi-autos.

I like Tiger's new Nike Free shoes in white, but on Sunday, he should've wore black.  Maybe that was the difference to winning on Sunday.  Haha.

2 pairs of white, 2 pairs of black for me.

i'll reserve the black pairs mostly for wet-day usage since they wont show as dirty afterwards.

however, i did just discover the beauty of using the mr. clean magic erasers on my white shoes....my adipures were REALLY grubby  (as in havent cleaned them all season) and now they look brand new again.

with that new found knowledge....i prefer the white shoes!

btw...i will only wear black shoes with pants too.  just doesn't look right with shorts imo.
There was a guy today wearing shorts with black shoes and a white belt at the my home course lol :p

With shorts any color will do.

But, when I see white shoes with nice dress pants its reminds me of the early bird special at Denny's.  How many of you get dressed up for work in dress slacks and a nice shirt and wear white shoes, other than for golf do they even sell mens white dress shoes?   My point is that we either wear black or brown with our normal dress pants but when we go on the course we wear white,  just doesn't make sense.

In most circumstances, I prefer the shoes to match the belt, and for me this is usually white or black depending on the outfit. The only time the shoes don't need to match the belt is when the belt matches the hat and the shoes are coordinated with some other part of the outfit.  But in most instances, I prefer the shoes, belt, and hat to all match in some form or another. In the end....to each his own.

I currently prefer white over black, but I'm trying to find a nice brown pair.  Most of my non-golf shoes are brown, but I just can't seem to find a brown golf shoe that I like.

Black is good. Brown is even better. White is not a good look in my opinion. Although white shoes are better than a white belt, I must say.

J.M. Olazabal always seems to be wearing the nicest shade of brown shoes I see anywhere. Wonder what kind of shoes they are. Changing subjects from golf shoes to dress shoes, men from Italy always seem to favor nice shades of brown for shoes no matter what color clothes they are wearing. To me brown is a much more universal shoe color than black or white.

All you really need is a single pair of white/black saddles and you are good to go with almost anything.

I generally agree with this - I own them - but at the same time although I've never been accused of being trendy, saddles as most of us know them are taking a seat on the bench for a while.

Have white, black and brown..

Prefer to wear white, but not on rainy days..

Found that black shoes worn on sunny days tend to bake the shoe with your feet inside of it....
