I always prefer wearing white shoes.  I just seem to like them better than black for some reason out on the course.  I'm currently wearing the Nike Lunar Controls (white) but looking forward for the Nike Free's to come out.

I buy one white pair, one black pair and one "athletic/sport" pair each season to rotate...

....Also try to keep a couple old pair in rotation ( for rainy days)...

2 pairs of white, 2 pairs of black for me.

i'll reserve the black pairs mostly for wet-day usage since they wont show as dirty afterwards.

however, i did just discover the beauty of using the mr. clean magic erasers on my white shoes....my adipures were REALLY grubby  (as in havent cleaned them all season) and now they look brand new again.

with that new found knowledge....i prefer the white shoes!

btw...i will only wear black shoes with pants too.  just doesn't look right with shorts imo.

I'm gonna go with white also. I have one pair of black DryJoys Tours, but I hardly ever wear them. They're great shoes, just not as comfy as my Adipures. Having said that, I'm really thinking about the new XPS-1's...in white! Those look sweet!

I'll wear whatever color shoes match my belt.   That's limited to White and Black.....

It's simply a MAJOR golf fashion mistake to mis-match the belt color and the shoe color.  Gotta make sure everything is flowing together....

I agree with what everyone has said to this point. I have nine pairs of shoes that I wear. I will add to the mix that one of those pairs are brown for when I wear brown slacks.

I like black all the time. Easy to keep looking good, a quick wipe and some kiwi nugget/ polish done.

Never thought about it until now but I buy 2  pairs of golf shoes every year and have only bought black and nothing else (I'm 56).  I guess I really am a creature of habit.

99% of the time I golf in Khakis or Khaki Shorts.  As such, my main gamer shoes a white/brown (FJ Superlites).  I do keep a pair of inexpensive white/black (Macgregor ) for the rare odd occaison I wear black/grey pants (or some other outfit that coordinates to a black belt) or for particularly wet/muddy days (to keep the FJs looking nicer).

I've gamed solid brown and solid black in the past but think they look a bit odd with shorts, which accounts for about 75% of my golfing (though that is steadily dropping for some unknown reason).  I've also gamed athletic style golf shoes in the past and hold no bias against them, except they in turn look kinda goofy when worn with full length pants.  I like that I can wear white/brown and white/black with short or pants without looking out of place in either sittuation.

I have several pairs of white/tan shoes, with two pairs of brown and two pairs of black. The brown and blacks are only worn with golf slacks, which constitute about 10% of the total rounds played. I predominately wear shorts while golfing, thus the higher number of white shoes. I have just moved my membership to a new club that is a bit more hoity toity... so... I may be wearing slacks more than past years. I just picked up a pair of FJ icons in black and am excited to get dressed to use these once the club opens.

cheers T

Don't own a pair of black but have been trying them on lately looking for something that fits my eye. I wear shorts 90% of the time and personaly think black shoes and shorts are about as bad as thigh high black socks and white tennis shoes. If I have a shirt with black in it I will go black belt and white FJ Sports. Anything else gets white/tan/brown FJ Superlights.

Yea, I know, I need to broaden my fashion horizon a bit.(cool)

I wear white 9 out of 10, mainly because I wear shorts 9 out of 10. Black golf shoes and shorts don't go well.

Quick fashion question: does wearing black golf shoes with black shorts look bad? I mostly wear black shorts and am in the new market for new shoes...

All you really need is a single pair of white/black saddles and you are good to go with almost anything.

With that said, somehow, I still have 3 pairs of golf shoes and am eyeing a black pair of Lunar Controls on close out.

I go with black, easier to keep looking good, goes okay with whatever I'm wearing.  Besides that, any attempt to have a color coordinated outfit will lead to much grief from my foursome.

My normal shoe is a custom gray Icon Sport with blue accents. Black Icons when it's wet and muddy.

white shoes get dirty, black shoes get hot during summer.  I usually buy white and try my best to keep them clean.

Black or brown. Was always taught the belt matches the shoes and I don't buy white belts :secret:
