I switched to the redline irons this year and I think that they are fantastic.  The hybrids are great. I paid @ $300 for them and they are the best set of irons that I have had since the Ping i5's.  For a guy like me with young kids who only gets out once or twice a week these a so good.

you guys, most of you are nuts.

The only thing that looks good is:
1. Tee shot in the fairway
2. Approach shot close to the pin.
3. A chip shot 2ft or closer to the pin.
4. A putt that drops
5. Your overall score is better than anyone else.

all else is inconsequential.

Tell me about it. I still play better than quite a few at my local muni who have $600+ in gear and I can go low 70s when I'm feeling good, and I don't play a crazy amount of golf. Plus I game:

Don't think I spent more than $90 on all of it.

On that note, I swear he was gaming an old Odyssey Rossie II mallet about a decade or so ago. Does anyone remember that? I just picked up I think the same one at Goodwill for $3.00. It feels so nice. Just wanted to remember if in fact that was the same stick he was gaming and making all those putts with back then.

I remember that, it was right around the time of the original TM Spider launch. and TM was going crazy trying to get it in his bag, but he stuck with the old Rossie II for a long time.

I thought. He drained everything with that stick. I believe he won a bunch with it as well.

Just to kick this old thread, I can confirm that KP is still using the Redline irons, and still hits the ball ridiculously high and far!  Followed him in the 2nd last group yesterday at the Principal Carity Classic in Des Moines, and while Jay Haas had the field covered from the beginning, it was a day of missed opportunities for KP.  His official driving distance average was 323 yards, and actually drove it through a couple of fairways, limiting his ability to spin the ball on short wedges and get it close enough to the hole.

Keeping in mind the WITB spirit, the bag appears intact except for a substitution of the "new/old" 588 wedges for the CG14s he was bagging earlier in the year.

This thread is what can be so annoying about this forum. Who cares!? I played the a7os with a 12 hc because the club just worked. KP could beat anyone on this forum up and down a course with a putter, 5 iron and driver. If it works, play it.

Agree 100%.  Just shows you how some of the people on these forums are douchebags in real life.  I wouldn't want to play a round of golf with those people.  Good for KP.
