You would think it might  have been better, but... it's been done. Fisher putters released this Talon series and a series with a reversible face about five to seven years ago.

If the Odyssey putter had that long cuboid thing with four inserts on it slotted into a normal looking Odyssey putter, I can see it been quite popular.

Agreed. But then the issue of patents arises.

It would have probably been cheaper to buy that than make theirs! How much did they pay Dave Pelz for his awful 2/3 ball putter (which they made a fantastic design out of and buckets of cash)?

what in the world??? Don't think this will do to well...never heard of someone wanting a firmer or softer feel depending on course conditions. This looks like garbage and priced at 350?

They should have bought the patent for the face changing technology, but I don't think anyone could make an appealing design out of that Talon putter.

terrible

whos gonna pay $350 for a putter with the crappy white Ice insert and some metallic insert?   Why not keep the body the same and  have removable inserts that screw in?   Didnt someone do that once before?   Soft medium and firm insert?

If Callaway is looking for a product to be their savior from bankruptcy, it is NOT this putter.  For the $$$ that went into designing this thing, Cally could have spent the money on something else.  Cally cleaned house in their marketing department not too long ago, the R&D department is next.

Looks like a fitting aid....same putter/length etc... different face.
Fine in the fitting card....gross in the bag.

they should make an old school acushnet bullseye looking putter and have the whole blade flip. that might look somewhat normal. this thing is dumb. what happens after it rains or they topdress the greens and the rotating piece gets loose or rusty or sandy, etc..

This site has got way too many Callaway haters!  Someone at Golfwrx needs to keep track of all of these "over the top" comments about specific companies and who is saying these comments.  There appears to be an agenda from a number of posters.  It is no longer interesting to hear comments anymore from many people on this site.

Or maybe this is just a marketing tool for the upcoming transformer movie " Transformers 4, the rise and fall of Callaway golf"
Fantastic!  Great title!

So you're basically getting 2 putters for $175 a piece. Are you required to shout "go, go gadget putter" when changing the face?

Can you adjust the loft as well? If you could turn that thing into a chipper, they might be onto something. It would be like a short game Swiss army club.

Hopefully they will have this at the show next week. Should be a good laugh.
Great Inspector Gadget reference!

I am surprised they didn't team with Swiss Army to co-brand another piece of crap.  We miss you Ely.

Edel supposedly copies wedges. Odyssey copies interchangeable putter faces.

I'm not sold on the looks and I can't think of many folks who would pay $350 for this.  I would not be surprised if there is a dramatic price drop soon after its release.

A have a few for this one, each is a one liner.

Jack Hamm is head of R and D for Cally now.  POW

That is so bad that they won't even clone that one.

Headcover is a clown head.

This could finally shift the trend towards sense in the club industry , I typed that without laughing, score for me.
Whoa, that may the Edsel of golf clubs.

Ha-ha! This made me laugh.

At the end of the day if a putter looks like crap (and nearly everyone puts out a dud now and again), we're happy to let them know what a potential stinker they have on their hands. The Metal-X putters look like they may be fantastic, I'm looking forward to sending praise Odyssey's way....

I don't think this is a case of "callaway haters".  I game a Cally driver.

This putter is ridiculous at this price level.  I just don't see how it will have enough market success.

Im sorry but that is fugly. If everyone thought that the Nike concept putter was bad this has to be worse. I guess if it works for then more power to you but I dont see this lasting very long. Cant see how this will possibly sell to more traditional players who just want a solid straight foward putter. I really do not see th need for two inserts either. Baffling.
