Decided to pick these irons up for a couple of reasons: they were cheap on ebay and I was feeling cocky after having some success with my Nike Slingshots. Initially this was a harsh reality check. I began to wonder if I could ever advance from Super GI irons. But then I started getting my swing worked out and now I'm actually really enjoying these irons. From what I gather they are quite forgiving for what they are. I've never really tried to work the ball consistently but I can see a little bit of a draw developing with these. When I catch one flush there's no comparision... this is the way golf in meant to feel. I actually like not being able to 'get away' with mishits. With my slingshots I could let my swing get really lazy and still manage to end up with an acceptable result. The TA3's are definitely a step away from that but are still by no means hard to hit.

Bottom Line: Great intermediate level irons that can be had for a very reasonable price

I just got rid of these - not because they were bad, but because they were beat up. I do have to say that when you miss-hit a 3, 4, or sometimes even the 5 iron these irons let you know. Some serious finger ringing if you know what I mean. However, these irons helped me go from a 9 - 5 handicap in one year b/c they really made me work at my ball striking. (Now - if I can only putt) I think they will do the same for you. This is a good low cost transition into the "better palyers irons" if you are looking to hone your skills. The gunmetal irons are especially good looking.

I bought these cheap from the used section at my local shop. I ended up selling my MP 67's. These TA3's have a tad bit more forgiveness than the 67's. I had the lie adjusted and the shaft's lengthened to my specs then regripped with GP new decs and they're as good as new.

Played a set of TA-3 FF's for several years, and they are just fine irons. Very solid and somewhat forgiving, they are just solid.

I rated them 4 only because I have never played a set as good as my MP-60's.

I have played some of my best golf with these clubs and have decided to put them back in my bag once and for all! I have bought two sets of irons since I've had these (mx-23 and Mac 685) but these feel so good and look good when I put them behind the ball. Have a mixed set, TA7 in 5-7, 8-PW with these.
