Been using an Ogio bag for the last season. Amazing features with excellent design. Only complaint is weight.

Anyone else have recommendations on carry bags that aren't a big brand name??

Trying to decide between a hoofer and the SM Swift X but really don't like blazing a huge PING/Sun Mountain logo. Right now I'm gaming this knock off Paragon with zero logos that has suited me well for past 2 yrs. However stand is out of whack and it's time for a change.

Datrek....you can find them cheap on craigslist and you won't be disappointed.

I've owned Cobra, Ping, Nike, and TM stand bags.  I wouldn't really say one is better than the other since they're all different.  I do like the styling of TM/Adidas bags the most but I can't say they're better than the other brands since it depends what you're looking for in a stand bag.

One negative thing that stands out though is the stand on my Ping Hoofer wasn't very good.  It didn't angle a lot, so the bag would fall over a lot if I was on a small hill.  The stand mechanism also eventually broke after a few years.  No real problems with the other bags though.

Nike sq has been great. I think they renamed it the performance now. Very nice bag.

Ogio had 2. First one the legs went after a decade? Bug.
I have a ogio Flash, hey it's $40.

I kind of like less badging on my bags...decent legs and a comfy strap.

For me all pretty much the same, many look like they are basically out of the same factory. I buy based on what look suits me at the time and price.

I've had plenty of bags, I think the hoofer is my all time fave though.

I have said before the Ping Hoofer and the Jones Stand bag.  Last week Kingdom 59 had the Jones Bag non stand for 84 dollars with Original price at 149, just got the blue one today and I have to say, the Jones Bag again!!!

I voted sun mountain because my last 2 bags were sun mountain and they both lasted really well. I'm using a Mizuno Aerolite IV bag at the moment which I won as a competition prize and I've got no complaints with it either, the Mizuno has the best pocket layout but it doesn't feel as though it's going to last as long but 100+ rounds with it and it's still pretty near mint.

I've had a PING J Bag for probably 10 years now and it is in amazing shape. It has never failed, ever.   I would like to get a new bag in the near future just for the sake of having something new.  Probably one that isn't as bright. (my bag is Florida Gators orange and blue)

I would get a new PING bag in a heartbeat.  Probably a Hoofer for a little extra room.

Sun Mountain Hybrid. I have carried it and used it on a cart and it's the best bag I've ever had. Many pockets, plenty of room for shafts in the 12 separator top cuff. Ideal bag for carrying and carting. No need to have two bags anymore.

Ogio grom has been the best bag for me, they are heavy but I carried the same bag for 8 years with no problems at all. My wife bought me a new one for Christmas last year and I switched over to it and handed my old one down. It's still going strong with color fade being the only issue.

Absolutely loving my puma stand bag.  It doesn't have that little piece on the bottom sticking out for the stand so it sits nicely in carts as well.  Sturdy legs, nice pockets, overall great quality.  Exactly what I was looking for.

I've always used an Ogio bag but I might have to try a Sun Mountain next time.  I really like the looks of those compared to the latest Ogio bags.

I just bought a 4-under Ping bag. Hope it's a winner, cause the J-bag disappointed me a few years ago.

I've been very pleased with my Ogio Ozone XX, which I carried for about 70 rounds last summer. Its leg system is the only problem as the bag stands way too upright and can fall over quite easily.

This irritated to the point that I wanted to take it back and did try a Ping Latitude for half a round but it was too too harsh in my opinion. So I just learned to live with the bad legs. Soon you start making sure the bag won't fall over without paying attention to it.

The Woode top is probably the best out there (not so for the lefties though) also the straps are very comfortable, there's enough pockets for everything and they're big enough, the ball silo and velcro for your glove are good plus it holds water outside to some extent.

I mostly carry my bag and tried a lot.

The best carry/standbags are Mizuno aerolite and the Ogio Velocity.

All others are too big or too heavy for walking.

The Four 5 and the Hybrid aren't the same. The Hybrid is a cart bag that can be carried while the Four 5 is a carry bag that fits in a cart.

I love my Four 5. It has lots of room (too much) and the pocket layout is good enough that everything I need is within reach while walking. The 14-way divider was the clincher for me. The strap had to be restitched but it's not a big deal. It's also light enough.

I own a TM  pure-light bag, it is nice however, Even though I don't own one some of the puma bags look sweet!

The ping carry bags are junk.  The divider covers wear out in a few months and the plastic scars the shafts of the clubs.  I have had 5 new bags from ping and they all do the same thing.  Both the hoofer and the 4 under.  They are a great company and stand behind the bags but this is a problem they cannot seem to fix.

This is how it starts.  I wish I knew a simple repair because other than this and the fact that the divider liners wear out fast, I love the way the bag carries.  This bag has probably been carried less than 50 times!

Man, do you have razor blades on the end of your clubs? :taunt: I've had 4 separate PING bags, including my current 4under and haven't experienced any shaft wear or damage to the dividers. If there's one thing I know, PING will replace it free of charge if you are not satisfied.

I'd guess at my club nearly 80% of the carry bags are Titleists.  In my experience the Titleist carry harness is the most comfortable in the business, though I understand it's entirely personal preference.  I've owned Jones, Burton, Sun Mountain, Ping ... I'd never go back to any of them and now on my second Titleist (the only problem with the first was my driving over and bending one of the stand legs - can't find a replacement).

Looking forward to walking season starting again!

My Sun Mountain 3-5, after 2 years use, has an issue with the legs crossing when I pick it up.  They then get stuck when I set it down and I have to pull them apart.  Even with this issue, I will be getting a new SM tomorrow.  I have a Ping from a few years ago that is still in good shape, but the clubs get tangled up and it's a hassle getting them in and out, and its heavier than the SM.

Working in a golf shop i would have to say Sun Mountains are head and shoulders above the rest save ping. Rarely does anything come back and when it does their customer service is top notch.
