I bought a Ping Hoofer Extreme to replace my old Titleist carry bag which broke down, and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. The legs dont come out far enough, so the bag falls over on uneven surfaces (my poor MP33s!) and the club dividers dont extend down far enough so all my clubs get tangled and its a pain trying to get them out.

My question is are the Ping Hoofer 3s the same way?

I'm looking to switch bags and the Hoofer 3 is one of my options. Other options include the Ogio Grom, and Sun Mountain Lightning. Anyone have experience with them?

I love my Hoofer 3. I went through 10 different bags untill I found the hoofer 3. I dont have any of those problems. The only problem that I have heard from people about the hoofer 3 is that the clubs are hard to quickly get in and out. I havent had the problem, but that is what I remember people saying in the reviews. I still think it is one of the best carry bags available.

from memory there are 2 versions of the hoofer 3. Only thing that seperates the 2 is the bev pocket. One that I dont like has a black mesh fabric. I have seen them rip. The other and my favorite is the solid cup holder... Red white and blue has the solid...

i have a hoofer 3 and its the best bag ever...i actually had one which us air broke then got another even tho the extremes were already out..........there is a trick to get the extremes to deploy....you have to puch down on the right corner of the top of the bagf when u put it down it show stretch the legs out farther....wish it was easier to type directions...LOL

I've tried that before, and when I do that, the clubs get harder to get out because all the grips get tangled together at the base of the bag. Do you have that issue with the 3, where all the grips interfere with each other?

I asked in an earlier thread people's opinion of the Hoofer Extreme. Thanks to all the guys who veered me away from choosing this bag. Managed to find a J Bag which is great. I have no problems with the stand or the dividers. I would reccomend it.
