The V-55 grip is no longer on the Golf Pride website.  I confirmed through their contact email that the grip has been discontinued.  Am I the only one bummed out?  This is the black tour velvet looking grip with the yellow "victory arrow" alignment aid.  They discontinued the green victory grips, and now these.

Like the classic Victory in its final years, the V-55 did not sell well.
These days compound grips and bright colors is what is hot.
My favorite grip is  a tour wrap style. www.stargrip.com makes the best quality version of this style grip. And Golf Pride is keeping their tour wrap style going with the 2G Tour Wrap.

Sad to hear - one of the best feeling and longest-lasting-tacky-feel grips that didn't wear out.  :(  But....I don't doubt that something as good or better will take its place.  :)

Try the following:

Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G - love it.

Or

Lamkin Crossline - oldie but a goodie
Lamkin Crossline Tour (very similar to the V55 and tacky but slightly less so)

The Victory 50th Anniversary (white fill, gold alignment arrow) was my favorite for quite awhile.  When supply of those dried up I switched over to the V55, but I too caved to th multi-compound trend, going with Karma Multi-Texture USAs on my latest build.  I still have the Victory 50th on my backups...

Any v55 users find another grip they liked?

Sort of hurts to see so many different pros using the V-55 in all the photos from the Charlotte tournament knowing full well I can't get any more. I haven't found a new grip to try yet; have about 20 left to go through before I have to search for a replacement.  But I'm already rationing them, sort of like Elaine from Seinfeld and her Today Sponges.  I have to know the club has a semi-permanent home in the bag before it gets a V-55.

they discontinued them last fall.   I have gone completely to tour velvet cords.   sof t on hands yet firm to the grip. Really best of both worlds.

The V55s (both the black/yellow and the old black/green victory stars) are available at golfgrips.com.  They have a lot of discontinued grips.

I'm a v55 loyalist and I've really begun to take a liking to the Golf pride VDR. those curve marks sort of serve the same alignment purpose as the arrows and it's a soft velvet grip. personally i like it in white, but that's just me.

i'd die if i could find some 30 50th anniversary non chords though, impossible to find.

I really liked the 50th Anniversary grip too.  I think it was available back then in 580 ribbed, but I didn't really like the bulky end cap of the V50.  The V55 was great, although I wish the paint had just been white.  I'm trying to get away from the ribs though, so I've got some basic black/white capped 3Gen REL Lamkins on now.  You can barely find a 580 core grip anymore, much less a ribbed one.  I also really liked the standard taper softie players cord..the one with the gold paint.  They also made the Trophy Cord out of the same softie material with cord.  That was a really good grip as well.  Chewed up gloves, but I really liked that compound.  The new cord they have out feels similar to me, but I'm not down with the $10 grip yet...even though I can afford them at this point in my life.

They are still available on Ebay also : http://www.ebay.com/... grips&_sacat=0

Just "stock up" as they are pretty cheap.....you'll still have enough for a few years......

I liked the v55 a lot, but right now I am using Lamkin Crossline Cord because it is the only thing that is as rough IMO. I think they had in mind that the Z-Grip would replace the V55.

if you like them maybe you can stock up on them soon. I am sure the price will go down on them.
