That little plastic end piece pops on and off pretty easily.  I pulled the tip off a shaft and before doing so, simply put the little end piece in a vise clamp and pulled and it came right off.  It is then very easy to heat the tip withour fear of melting the plastic end piece.  The tip is pretty easy to remove so reshafting is quite easy with these clubs.

the plastic piece should be removed before heat... while I agree it does not melt, it will become brittle. Mine broke in pieces on the third reshaft...but I am sure the most damage was done on the first pull because of Cally's epoxy, the stuff I use releases at a low temp.
Yes, that's what I said.  Remove the little end piece before heating.  You are referring to the end cap and not the ferrule aren't you?
Is the ferrule glued to the sleeve as well as even on a new tip I have the ferrule doesn't seem to want to pop out and am going to try soaking it in boiling water next

Mine did not come off. It seems to be part of the sleeve. Weird.

For those of you that have hit this club, how is the spin rates and ball speed compared to the RHT?

Comparing stock shaft in RHT to stock shaft in RF my ball speed was up about 3 mph, spin was down about 400 rpm and most importantly RF was much more forgiving for me.

Took the sleeve off this morning.  Wow!  Callaway used more heat resistant epoxy than Ping does!  Took forever!  Pried off the plastic piece at the end of the tip so I would not melt it (somewhat challenging just to get that little bugger off), then I wrapped a wet towel around the ferrule and went after the sleeve with heat.  Eventually the epoxy turned loose and the ferrule stayed on the shaft; the ferrule has a collar that extends about 3/16" or so into the sleeve.

A Billy Bob's Ping adapter fits in perfectly, if you want to put in a .335" shaft.  An HD6 shaft is now curing in my sleeve.

How deep does the shaft go into the adapter? Should a new shaft be tipped 1/2 inch like Titleist does?

I actually pulled the tip rather that pushing so the ferrule remained on the shaft.  I did the push by putting a couple of washers on a screw that I then inserted into the tip. Just make sure you use the same size as the screw int he clubhead so you don't strip the threads in the tip.  Then put the shaft into my puller so that it was pushing against the washers.  Once I heated up the tip (heat gun) it came off pretty easily. The ferrule stayed on the shaft and is in perfect condition as the heat was concentrated at the other end of the tip. Tried getting the ferrule off the shaft but it is on there really good.  Had some other ferrules around with a collar that fit quite well. Needed a different ferrule anyway as the shaft I installed is .335 so I also had to add a brass shim to the shaft as the tip is designed for a .350 shaft.

Well I have to eat crow. There IS an X flex RIP'd NV available. Just saw it with my own two eyes. Whoa.  Just gotta love it when CS and a rep tells you otherwise, but low and behold, right in front of my eyes. LOL

When you say Ping adaptor from Billy Bob's do you mean a collared ferrule? I have a tip and ferrule coming but forgot that Im using a .335 tip shaft so will need to hunt down a correct ferrule thanks...BB

The "loft and lie adjusting" adapter (which requires a .335" shaft) will definitely work (since that's what I had on hand and used), and I suspect that the "straight" .335" adapter will also work, but I didn't have one to try and I was impatient.

Played 3 rounds now with my Fit and Tour AD DI 6x - simply said, best driver i've ever owned. The weights really make a difference and the forgiveness of this thing is unbelievable even compared to my old and trusty Cobra ZL.

Isn't it something HOW MUCH the weights really do make a difference with this head??  And I was able to see why, in that the body weighs nothing. Basically the face and the weights. Really impressive.

BB:  I may have missed the reasoning in one of the earlier posts, and I am not a club builder, but are you sure you need a different ferrule?  I "think" the brass shim takes care of the fitment with the ferrule.  I could be wrong though.

Here is a pic of the adaptor I purchased from Will Peoples.  Will mentioned that the shim is the only thing you need to fit a .335 shaft.  My Razr Fit has not yet arrived though so I don't have any personal experience.  Clic on the pic to enlarge.

Ok boys,

got my razr fit on Wednesday of last week and I did my due diligence and ponied up for a F3 motore x flex shaft.  It came un-gripped and at 44.5 inches  with a swing weight of E3 then I added a Winn lite grip 25 grams to get a D7 /D8 swing weight   I swing between 110-113 on a PGA sim surround Launch monitor.  And here's what I got,

sim surround indoor launch monitor.

What I found is I have a flatter swing and generally play a draw with a hard transition into the ball,

at 44.5 inches  and D7.5SW will say
I was getting 274 carry and 14 yards of roll with
about 24-2600 rpms of backspin
open face 2.5 and 12 gram weight on heel and 2 gram on toe
loved the sound and the feel of the baby fade

How did a lighter grip give you a lighter SW?  Shouldn't SW have gone up?

The club was ungripped before, so installing any grip will lower the SW.

Gents
I called Callaway today and asked them for a swing speed chart for the oem shaft.
They recommended (but also said its more of a feel/control thing)
75-85 mph A flex
86-95 mph R Flex

My driver speed is 84 on avg.
I took their advice and bought the Razr fit in the A flex.  It definitely feels very whippy, almost like a Ladies flex.

I was able to hit a 10.5 R flex on a monitor and actually saw some balls in the 220-231 range which is pretty long for me but launch was pretty low around 12-14*.  Unfortunately they did not have an A Flex 11.5* to demo which is what I bought at another shop.  And this shop did not have a monitor to hit from to try the one I bought out.

Did I make the right choice or should I have gone R flex ?

Lot's of things to consider... first off, Callway is putting softer tipped shafts into their non-custom shafted drivers to hep you get some added distance.
Secondly, try making sure your ball placement is correct, off the inside of your front foot. Even a littl etoo far back will lower the launch.
Shoulders tilted slightly in a reverse K position and the ball is teed to the proper height. You should be swinging up at the ball with a driver...

If that doesn't work try the 11.5...

I currrently play a FT-9 Tour (retail) with a  Fujikura Zcom pro 65 S flex.
I believe the swing weight is D-3. I've noticed the Razr-Fit with the RIP'd NV shaft is D-6.

Should I be concerned with this? Will the extra weight keep me from squaring the clubface at impact?

The RAZR Fit comes at 45.5", so itīs longer than your RHT. If you shorten it to 45" or 44.5", you should be fine with the SW again.
