call discount dans they have a lot of other options that aren't on the website

Just heard back from DDs..... No RIP Alpha option. :(

Anybody know which option would be closest to the Alpha profile?

WhiZ

Wow, I'm surprised they aren't offering one of the most popular shafts right now. They used to have the protopype as a no charge option, but got rid of right before I was going to order the rht. But they have the ad di available, so I'm giving it a go. But I am eagerly awaiting a review.

Nice review, Johnny! I'm really looking forward to hitting this one, I've heard nothing but great things about it.

The .350 tip is an instant turn off.  That limits MANY aftermarket "not made for" options.  Back to the R11S for me.

This driver is definitely on my list for next year.  Currently gaming the Cally RHT w/ahina- love it, but it is not the most forgiving driver I've played.

I think it is going to be between this baby and the new Ping i20 for me......

BTW:  When I bought my RHT it came with the stock RIP shaft in X and I must say, I got fantastic results with that shaft.....I hope this RIP NV has similar/better performance characteristics.

Anyone know if this Razor FIT will be available with the rumored Tour Hosel for more face angle tweaks?????

I want to try this driver.  I WANT to like this driver.  But there are a couple shafts that I know that I like and would love to use, but they're .335 tip, as are about 99% of the shafts out there.

Brass shim... working well and no difference in feel that I could tell.

So a shim will work?  How with the adapter?  And is the adapter metal or plastic?  I'd hate to have it melt!

Interesting how little buzz this is getting. Yet I think it's going to be a STICK!  Heck. Alvaro Quiros was killing this thing.

yeah me too... guess all the buzz is RBZ and R11s..  Callaway has a winner and has had better drivers (for me) since the FT9TA...but I have friends that swear by their TM drivers.

No high visibility Cally staffers seen with it in the 2 Hawaiian events.  I'm sure Phil teeing it up tomorrow will create some, although what kind remains to be seen.

Ran into the Cally Rep at GG today and goofed around with the new gear, the Razr Fit at address looks EXACTLY like the all black Octane Tour, super clean. The fairway looks sweet too, I'm smelling a nice year for Cally woods. You know I walked away with a sleeve of Hex Black Tours... :birthday:

I want one of these ridiculously bad.  No clue where I will get the cash to blow on a new driver seeing as I picked one up in August... that might not go over too well.  I have to hit it.  If it is noticeably better, i may take the money I had set aside to get fitted for a shaft for my 3wood and spend it on this.  Guess I could probably sell some old stuff...  Can we please do a giveaway with some of these?  I really wanna get one and put a Fubuki K in it.

Ok, so I'm trying to dwcide if I should go with 9.5 or 8.5. I had my 910 at 9.5 and ballflight tended to be a little high at times. So I cranked it open which didn't help. I was playing it with an ahina 70 stiff. I will be playing a ad di 7x in rhe razr. I'm concerned that if I have to open it up it would drop the loft down to 6.5 which would be too drastic. But johnny mentioned it launched higher than a true 8.5. So I'm worried a 9.5 would launch too high in the neutral setting. Our local shop doesn't really carry any shaft options, and I've never seen a head lower than 9.5. So I feel like I'm kind of on my own on this one.

From what I've read, using an open setting will drop your loft 1 degree.  So if you can only get your hands on a 9.5, an open setting will get you to 8.5.  A stock 8.5 will get you to 7.5.  Any legit Callaway retailer should be able to get you a stock 8.5 head, just may take a few weeks.

My problem is they won't order it just for me to try, and they don't take returns on custom orders.

Thanks for the review. Any scoop on availability of the Fit sleeves? I hope it isn't going to be as tough as the Titleist 910.

The Rip'd NV is a made for?

I think he is saying that this shaft is proprietary to this driver. Meaning you can't just drop any old shaft into this head. Just a guess.

Late-

Im sure just like years past if you want a "custom" shaft it will run you $100 to $300 upcharge.   Callaway needs to take a cue from other OEMs

Looks like they have updated the shaft options. Now with Tour DI6 & DI7, Matrix Radix, all next generation Diamanas and Fubuki Alphas. Pretty sure that wasn't up before. UST shafts still underrepresented and no details on upcharge though.

Hit a couple shots with one indoors, yesterday.

The looks of this driver are fantastic, now that there is no seam on the crown.  The sound and feel are also excellent.  The ball speed across the face is vintage Callaway FT, hot!
The adjustability is easy, but the face angle adjustment is too dramatic in my opinion.  The Square position looks slightly hooded, and the Open position, is Way open!  The non spinning shaft is very cool though.
The stock shaft feels slightly loose.  A good solid feel, with a definite "hinge", but a little soft at the tip.  I would be looking at a custom shaft option for this club.

It is a definite improvement on the Razr Hawk.  THose offended by White club heads will enjoy this.

Best all around driver available this year.  Having played with all the rest (loaners or demos) the Razr Fit is hands down the best.  Definitely the best driver Callaway has done in years. (Fast 12, R11s, i20, RBallz, Cobras, among a few that I compared)....  Krank by far the longest but Fit best overall driver...

Agreed!  Razr Fit is hands down the best driver for 2012, I've been blown away.  Two reason make this statement true for me; consistently the straightest driver, and consistently the longest driver for me... Man, that's a dangerous combo! ;)

ordered  mine and requested stock shaft x -stiff thanks to you boys who are in the know and no additional upcharge also ordered x flex in the fujikura motore F3 for driver so one I had a backup in case shaft doesn't work and 2 so I can use the sleeve for either one if I change shafts, since there not sold yet.

by the way I was quated 260 from discountdan for the ahina x flex shaft for that club so upcharge is still pretty substanctial

How does this compare to the original RAZR; other than the obvious adjustability?
