Me too.  No oil can/not being able to make it a raw finish keeps me in a holding patern with my old TVDs.  Wish I knew why they aren't offering that finish?

I'd order ASAP if the 50 was available right away.  :/

The black oxide looks great. Question is, how durable is the finish? Hopefully more so than the Adams CB irons.

The black oxide is raw just like the oil can finish. Its just a diifferent color.

I'm guessing $160 does not include stamping/paintfill?

My guess is no since it says 'starting' at $160.  Interested to see the final cost and how it compares to the custom Cleveland's that everyone bashed because of the price.

Are these known to be high spin around the greens?

What's the difference/improvement from old TVD's to the 2012 SM4 TVD's?

Thanks,

What is the grind difference between the 200 series 50° and TVD 50°? I have noticed that many pro's use the 200 Series for their gap wedge. Anyone know why?

Looks great but starting at $160 for a cast wedge is way too expensive to me.   You can't tell me these perform that much better then a Scratch 8620 which is under $100 with any stampings you want?  I am not a Vokey hater so don't go there.  I played Vokey's for years before I started playing forged wedges (Mizuno, Nike VR Pro, Scratch raw 8620, etc.).

Oh man, am I pumped!!! I absolutely love my old TVD wedges and the bright brushed chrome finish!!! Their only downfall was the lack of spin produced. So, I reluctantly put the new SM4s in the bag. This is like an answered prayer (if you are the type that prays for equipment, and I know you are).

My order went in via email today! I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,

See my post above for more but, no, the former TVDs didn't have much spin at all. Like none. The new SM4 grooves will probably make these PERFECT. Hopefully, the grind is exactly the same. If so, MONEY!

There isn't a black finish out there that won't start to show some wear after a month or so of heavy play.  No matter what they say you will see the finish on the sole and face have significant wear over time.  If your not a fan of that look then satin is the way to go.  These wedges look great glad to see they added some extra grooves in order to catch up to nike and callaway wedges.  I might have to rethink my move to the nike wedges come this spring.

$160 is suggested retail price.....

last years TVD's were 150 suggested retail price.....but after calling Discount Dan's they were the same price as regular SM's....yes, thats right!
Call or email DD's for the price quote.......I'm guessing they'll be the same price as all new standard wedges.......

Me too! This sounds stupid but that wedge in the pic looks like it would feel soft to me. Must be the way it looks.

This irritated me too. Plus, I've been thinking about swapping to a 50/54/58 combo instead of my 52/56/60, since I'm playing off a 47 PW now.

Less durable, if you can believe that.
