I had a few of these in thier day. It was the best carry bag I have ever used. Glad we will have an opportunity to use one again. I hope they come out with the stand version, it was my favorite....Good luck....

That may well be true, but I will probably be able to buy 6 Jones bags for the price of a MacKenzie leather one.

Maybe the Mackenzie Ballistic is a fairer comparison but even then it is still probably two or three times what a Jones bag might be (the one I bought on eBay pictured above was $110 brand new).

I think there is definitely room in the market for a relaunched Jones Company. It is not as if we are spoilt for choice for classic classy bags after all!

It will be interesting to see what price point they pitch it at for sure ...

I don't think it is fair to dismiss the Jones bag out of hand just  because the Mackenzie is out there. To be honest I'd probably buy both  eventually. I have 9 sets of irons and I have to put them all in  something !

Old school!  I loved these bags in HS.  My college team used Ping Hoofers though.

I actually miss the single strap no stand carry bags.  They seemed lighted even though I'm sure the material used was heavier.  Problem is most of the new ones don't hold 14 clubs unless you want to pay big bucks for a MacKinzie.  Maybe Jones will set a better price point.

Everyone is posting wonderful things about the nostalgia of their old Jones Golf Bag. Better yet, does anyone have photos of themselves and their golf bag? Vintage photos? Current ones? The reason I'm asking is because I am working on the Jones website and I would like to begin compiling a gallery of images from "back when" and also new shots of people when the new bags come out. It would be pretty cool to have your photo on the site.

If you find some photos, please post them for all to see and add the line, "Hey Jones Bags, you have my permission to use my photo(s) on your site.

I need them quickly so don't wait.

I ordered my player series Jones Bag yesterday. I was going to go with their standard bag but the player series is exactly the bag I want.

These bags are great looking in person. I hope the guys at Jones Bag have a big year!

I just got the ball rolling early on and suggested to Matt that they come on board at WRX.  The new website is up now.  I'm sure that they will add additional info and photos of the Player's bag and the Original Jones bag soon.
Between start-up and the PGA Merchandise show, I'm sure they are working some long days.

No new pics, but I did notice that they are now saying that the bags will be released in June instead of April.

Their Facebook page is updated alot more frequently than that website.

We switched manufacturers one of the best in the game.  That is the reason for the delay on our release date.  We promise it will be worth the wait.  

You will also be able to order bags directly off our site.  The site will be remodeled and ready for June.  

Hats, T-shirts, head covers and towels wil also be available.  Let me know if there are any other questions.

I still have my high school Jones team bag from the early 80's in the attic...the original vinyl one with no stays.   The are the old ping irons of golf bags...can not wear them out.

Great news about the new, quality manufacturer and the opportunity to buy directly from your website.  I'm sure for those of us who want a Jones Bag, it will worth the two month wait.  Here is a photo of my Jones Golf 'Wolf' stand bag [circa 2000 or so].  Old school three way top divider and longevity that is head-shaking.  I almost always get comments at the course from players who recognize the Jones logo and who then tell me about the Jones bags they have had.



When I was younger, I used to walk and carry the 'Wolf'.  I  now have a Sun Mountain 'Mini' for walking... until June when I will order a new Jones Bag.

i have had two jones bags and I miss them a great deal i hope that the price is reasonable so that I might just have to get one. I like the old one strap carry too I still do that at times with my ping bag that I have now but it does not have the balance that the jones bag did.

Site goes live and bags are releasing for purchase this Wednesday! Played with Matt (Doctor Jones) yesterday and the bags are fantastic. Very comfortable thick padded strap, good storage, some structure to them, but not too much that it adds too much weight, and great looks. Purchasing one myself for sure. Jones is back!
