That is when you ride a cart...

Also, which would you find a better value... Hoofer Extreme for $125 or the nike Xtreme Sport for $75. Thanks!

I'd still go with the Ping. And thre strap doesn't get in the way when you put it on a cart

The Hoofer is just a better bag. who cares about a putter well. Just another gimmick to sell stuff. I've played a hoofer for as long as I can remember and never needed one.

I have a hoofer that I have played with for 6 years. A great quality bag. I would definitely suggest it over the nike and anything else.

:stop:

well clearly i do :russian_roulette: :russian_roulette: :russian_roulette: . wow i never found it to be a gimmick although i kind of do find the viagra strap a gimmick. guess that's why ping decided to keep that right? sorry but it's something that i've always looked for in a bag and something important to me. thank you but you can now leave and no longer respond to this. i've made my decision for the most part anyways since someone bought up the hoofer extreme white bag i wanted. i guess hip pads on bags are just another gimmick too right?

oh and for the guys that mention that they've had hoofers for a long time, i'm well aware that the previous generation hoofers were great but i was specifically looking at the hoofer extreme (which unless i'm completely stupid was introduced less than 6 years ago).

again sorry, my temper is completely calm. i'm grown and don't believe in e-fights. you just decided to say one is better and bag (pun intended) on the other company, yet you can't give one positive about the extreme. i don't get mad whatsoever at people who can't hold solid arguments. and believe me, my life has a lot bigger problems than trying to get into an argument with someone online.

I would say get a hoofer best quality stand bag you can buy. On the extreme the strap looks silly when you are riding on a cart but you get over it.

If you can find a Hoofer Extreme with the 4 way top, I'd buy it.

I have one with the 8 way and it is starting to be a pain now that I am walking more and riding less. If you carry a full set or close to it, it's hard getting the clubs back in place in a timely manner after each shot.

Listen, I am one of the biggest PING fans you'll find, but the 8 way top wasn't the best idea for PING and this bag. The "viagra" strap is nice and I really wish they would put that on the Vantage. It makes for picking up the bag a lot easier while on the course.

Again, if you can find the 4 way top and the strap, I'd buy it. I am probably going to try to find one of those before long. That 8 way top isn't very user friendly.

100% agree with TheBUNKY on all counts.

4 way top = good. Avoid the 8 way top at all costs, it's a club tangling nightmare. Although it does provide a nice place to stash your putter.

I really like the standing strap as well, it really does make it a lot easier to get the bag on and off.

Mine's gotten old and is starting to fall apart, and I think I'm going to try and replace it before the Vantage becomes the only option.

Thanks for all the opinions. I actually ended up purchasing neither and got a White Vantage instead. We'll see whether I keep or sell it but it's been nice to hear everyone's opinions.

i had both... and i liked both.. i thought the nike was more comfy for walking.. but i do like the 4 way H.E. top better and i will tell you why...

if you have a 35" putter the nike is fine.. but for a shorter putter ( like you have) it sucked...

enjoy the vantage.

iF you get a Hoofer extreme, make sure to get a newer 06 one, the 05 ones flat out suck. The legs, dividers, and zippers are poor compared to the improved 06 version
