Whoa baby! These are some early pics of the upcoming KBS Custom Series, slated for release early 2012.  These will soon be available on KBS Tours (Taper Only), all flexes.

The finishes, as you can see, are stunning.  3 flavors: White Pearl, Black Pearl and Silver Pearl.  Never done in a steel shaft before.

The labels are heat transfer decals so they're not coming off.  The finish and the gloss coating on each shaft has been lab tested for durability.  As far as extra weight, the tolerance is +/- 1.5g.

Just saw the finished product no more than an hour ago in the C-Tapers.  KB himself told me they are 100x more durable than the KB blacks.  He also said they are thinking about doing them in any color.  The white pearl looks just like the Fubuki.

They look nice, but...

I'd feel like I'm playing graphite shafts which I know they aren't but that might bother me.  I have the black nickel KBS Tours in my Scratch irons which I like so who knows.  I really want satin in the tours but will prolly stick with the standard KBS Tours in chrome in my AP2 712's since Tapers aren't for me.

if you look close at those labels they aren't a sticker the are on the shaft really cool shafts got to check them out first hand

Awesome, look really cool.
I would think if you carry your sticks often, the paint/finish would wear off like the original black nickels when the shaft rubs on the bag divider.

I would say fairly close.  This one has more glare.

From a distance, yes.  However, the difference is that this is a plating.  The C-Taper satin is the result of how the metal itself is finished.  As a result the custom series is smooth and slightly shinier, while the C-Taper is a little rough to the touch and duller (which I prefer).

So the normal KBS Tours & C-Tapers are both coming out in these finishes ?
