I played Rombax 7Z08 X flex. I love the launch of this shaft thou but personally it spins too  much.

but this shaft I woukd say it spins less and can be seen clearly with lower ball flight with the same carry distance but rolls more. Also reduce dispersion too.

These shaft prices are getting outrageous,Thank goodness people like Robin Arthur are around.At least his shafts are just as good and only cost around a 1/4 of the price.JEEZ it,s gettin so they r pricing the middle guy right out of the game.

The day the driver shaft puts the ball in the cup is when that statement will ever be true. untill then, ill take the guy with a $100 driver but hours of practice anyday.

What were your impressions? I've narrowed my search down to the BB 7X and 7Z08. My SS is 120. I like a stout shaft

I have hit the 9003x which was compared to this shaft earlier in the thread.....  And the 9003x is the only thing that i have found that has the ability to stand up to this kind of swing speed without feeling like your loosing control of the ball as well as the Rombax 7& 8z08 in x stiff.   People are saying this BB isn't as stout as the p9003 then there is no way it is going to stay tight at 120 mph and the transition that swing speed will yield.. IMO.  Because i have never seen anyone who swings that fast have a SMOOTH transition. Just my opinion.  And everyone knows they all vary but..........

On another note....

This IS one of the most beautiful shafts i have ever seen.  Just think of it as buying artwork for your golf bag.   Makes the 420$ price tag look minuscule.

Last I checked NONE of the long hitters on tour use the p9003x. So there must be other shafts out there that can handle fast swing speeds and hard transitions. Gary Woodland plays the GD G-series so there is another option for us guys that swing fast and need super low/low. I have the p9003x in my 5 wood currently, had it in my 3 wood for over a year. Currently have an XPP105 in my 3 wood, but those aren't exaclty easy to find. The driver shaft is either a PM702X or a Throttle LDA 75x at the moment but I am seriously debating on trying one of these BB-7x's. The DI intrigued me but I launch it super high already with my 8.5° driver and low launch LDA shaft. But if Tiger can manage his swing into a DI-7x then so can I.

I was able to try this shaft out at a Graphite design booth at a demo day.  No launch monitors, so just going based on what my eyes saw as well as the guy working for them.  First wanted to try the BB 6 S in a R11s driver head.  Hit the driver on a nice mid trajectory for me but had some trouble midway through the session keeping it from fading a bit on me.  Took the same head and went with the BB 5 S and it was too light for me to control compared to the 6.  Decided to try the DI 6 S in the head and I hit it so much better than the BB.  To be honest I couldn't tell you if the flight was much higher than with the BB, but I can tell you it seemed like the ball was just faster off the face with the DI.  The fades I was hitting earlier with the BB turned into dead straight shots with the DI.  The graphite design guy also mentioned that I was hitting much straighter and longer with that setup compared to the BB.  

Its too bad they didn't have a launch monitor setup, would have been interesting to see the difference in numbers.   All I can say is the BB didn't come close to feeling as good as the DI for my swing.  I recommend finding a place to demo both heads up.  For the price you would have to pay for either shaft, getting fit for the right one is imperative.  Also at one point I did have a DI 6 S in my bag, but it got pushed out by the motore 6.2.

I dare say the BB was probably a bit too tight for you (especially in the tip) leading to some fade and a loss of ballspeed.
