March 2012 available.

$420 Map pricing

The new Tour AD BB shaft is available in four models: The 50 gram Tour AD BB 5 (R2, R1, and S flexes); The 60 gram Tour AD BB 6 (SR, S, and X flexes); The 70 gram Tour AD BB 7 (S and X flexes); and The 80 gram Tour AD BB 8 (S and X flexes).

Sorry we are currently moving to a new a location and things are a little crazy around GDI.

Is it just me or is the pricing get out of control on shafts?  $420 MAP?  Can it be THAT much better than a GD YSQ or other GD shaft?  I currently have a YSQst in a Ping Rapture and have one fit with a R11 adapter.  I also have a 3 wood with a YS 7+.  It's fair to say I like GD's products but there's no way I'm paying $420 for a shaft.

Flame away....

I've heard it's a low launch/low spin (surpise..seems like every new shaft is :pardon:).. Supposed different launch characteristics and lower spin then DI. Designed for high launch high spin player (another overused design description :pardon:).

In identical setups, you can expect about 400 fewer RPMS compared to a DI of the same weight.  Absolutely PHENOMENAL shaft.

I got to hit a 910 driver with the  60 gram Tour AD BB 6 X  and it felt great, but Mark from Cool Clubs said it would be a ton better if i had the x in that or the 80 gram Tour AD BB 8. If i could afford one i would play it in a heart beat.

Not really. Blame the Yen to Dollar ratio. Japan prices didn't go up. ;)

Agree on the pricing commentary....Mitsu has some great products, and GD has some great products as well...but really, to pay 420 for one shaft makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever....you know, unless it is painted in a limited edition lime green and will guarantee I'm not leaving yards on the table....

Honestly 420 isn't that much boys, people pay almost 1000 for the matrix and i'm just the tour ad bb is just as good performing. Plus for all you tour ad di lovers like me the price of that will hopefully decrease since demand will decrease Posted Image

I have had the chance to hit both the BB-6x and BB-7x and both are great.  6x in the D3 and 7x in the R11.  Both were lower flight than the DI with spin a touch lower as well.  Still the ACCRA Tour Proto(Z) is lower spinning and launching.  None the less, worth a good luck for players wanting low flight.

Good to hear.. I will look into either a 7 or 8 for driver.. for some reason my TM painted DI 6x I hit lower then the orange 6,7 and 8. go figure. I dont want super low launch...just a little lower the DI would be nice.

Then don't buy it?  $420 isn't insane compared to stuff Matrix puts out.  Personally I wouldn't either but I think everyone knows nobody pays retail for golf equipment.

Completely agree, shaft prices have gotten ridiculous. I would love to try DI8x in my driver but the price makes it impossible for me.

I wonder if the bb has identical characteristics as the P9003x.  That was a great shaft, it just never really sold cuz no pros were playing it.
