Lots of money spent by alums/fans to watch their team have no chance after the 11min mark in the 2nd qtr.

Yeah, yeah. Congrats Notre Dame. But honestly, if they played any team from the SEC, other than Kentucky, they would get destroyed because the defense in the SEC is so good. Notre Dame hasn't played a team with a good defense yet, they really haven't played a good overall team, either. Regardless of this, great season Notre Dame.

Oh SEC guy, are you seriously saying Stanford doesn't have a good defense? I agree, the SEC would crush Notre Dame but c'mon Stanford's defense for all intensive purposes is an SEC defense.
[/quote]
The SEC is extremely overrated this year.

Still think the SEC is overrated? Notre Dame was the team that was overrated. The cousins DESTROYED the Catholics. Hate both teams, but I wanted to see a good game. I flipped over to The Biggest Loser in the first quarter, ironically, Notre Dame was on that channel too. Seriously though, I was hoping that ND would knock Bammer off their perch. Didn't happen. I'm sure bottle rockets erupted over Lake Weiss long into the night and beer cans washed ashore at Lake Eufala yesterday morning. Kids went to school with Kool-aid mustaches state wide because they stayed up past their bedtime and bathtime to watch the game. 5 yards... that's all we needed (or an OC that knew what spike the ball means).

haha this post is great and semi ridiculous but I love it. But I can't argue with the 7 titles in a row so anything I try and argue won't be fact based and would be pure opinion. The national title game I don't think was the best testament though as I don't think ND was even close to the 2nd best team in the country. I think Georgia, Oregon, K State, Ohio State, Louisville and even Florida would likely beat ND. With that said, the top 7 teams in my opinion, there is one common theme... 3 SEC schools.

I can agree with TAMU being in that range as well... I show no love for Ole Miss though.. Pitt is atrocious so dismantling them isn't shocking.. They got dismantled by Youngstown state haha... But I dig the typical SEC jab at ND

Ole Miss has never played Youngstown State, nice try though. And considering Ole Miss is most likely getting the best defensive recruit in the nation, Robert Nkemdiche and the best wide receiver
in the nation, Laquon Tridwell next year, I'd say they will be for real for years to come. Hugh Freeze has done things with this program that no other coach in Ole Miss history has ever done, and this is only his first year.

No joke, Laquon is a buddy of mine's cousin. He's crushed he's not going to the family's favorite school Michigan (most likely). Lol

Wow that's awesome! So do you know for sure that he's probably going to Ole Miss?

Ha, ya know I wish Ohio State would have been eligible this year, at least they would have given Notre Dame a good game. What a shame that would have been, 1 & 2 in the BCS both deserving but not even close to the best teams in the country.

Haha yeah I mean I honestly think OSU would beat ND, but, the result against Bama likely would have been much the same. I think the Bucks may have been able to give Oregon a solid game as Oregon generally struggles with bigger teams that can slow them down and control the line (see last time OSU played Oregon, see the Stanford game, LSU and USC in 2011)

Worst possible time for ND to lose a head coach if he leaves... Who would they get? Gruden? Cower?

TAMU has to be in there as well after dismantling OU. I might I even put Ole Miss after the way they handled Pitt, who took ND to 3 OT.

Well, from what they've said, he's most likely going to a school that starts with an O. That's all they'll really say. My buddy is still hoping he pulls a last minute flip, but my buddy's 2 brothers keep telling him that's doubtful.

Gruden wants an NFL team. Cowher, if he takes a coaching job, has said its have to be the right one. I'm thinking he wants one closer to home and his daughter. NFL, that's Carolina, college, its NC State.
