I really like the shirt that the US team wore today yesterday well Day 2
I wish they would sell more of these team uniform shirts to the public

You can buy the shirts by going to Peter Millar's Facebook page and 'liking' them.  The shirts are $115.  I'm thinking about getting one, but I'm not familiar with the way the shirts fit.  Can anyone shed some light on the way 'classic fit' Peter Millar shirts fit?  I just don't want to end up with a really cool $115 shirt that I never wear because it fits all wrong.

You'll also be able to purchase the players actual shirts, signed of course.  Apparently Freddie chose the colors because they are Australia's national sporting colors, which was very nice of him.

I have to say the US team looked really stylish in these shirts and with the white pants.  The Internationals looked bland by comparison

Just not feeling it. Looks like the turf at a miniature golf course. I wish Puma would have done the clothing for them.

Do all of your posts lead back to either your love of bashing Tiger or your love of Rickie Fowler  ?

US players such as Tiger, Phil, Stricker, Furyk and Toms aren't going to look good with Puma's style, to be honest they would look quite stupid in that gear.

Are you just going from the pic in this thread? Because the green (and yellow/gold of the placard) look great on TV, and not so hot here.

Of course you'd want them to wear Puma...

Yeah I don't get this statement either.
Honestly the shirts look like they could be Puma to me; bright green, alternate color button placket, nice modern fit in the sleeves.  I like Puma and I like these PM shirts as well, but I don't know what would have been so much better about Puma making them.

The only thing I can think of is the price!!! $115 is a bit steep for this shirt.... I still may order it

They look exactly like a Puma shirt. And lets face it, you probably don't own any puma stuff. You just have an unhealthy obsession with Rickie Fowler.

yeah those really look like Puma shirts. Boring blue, drab green, and the bad inside the collar change of color. Anyone who thinks this looks like something Puma would do is the same kind of person who thinks Ashworth is a dynamic brand. And at least if you want to do accents, they could do like Puma is doing with their Africa collection.

Look if you like the look this year, good for you. I express one opinion and am savaged for it. That's fine. but don't claim these get ups look like something Puma would do, that's absolutely ridiculous.

Hmmm.....who wears PUMA again? Ricki Fowler and Johan Edfors. Anyone else?

So, it may look good on you if you're 15, or so, but it does not possess the sophistication required for an international team event like the Pres' Cup or the Ryder Cup. No thanks. No offense, but I suspect most of the guys would say "shove it" if that stuff were chosen.

Freddy has done a nice jobs with the Peter Millar outfits so far: somewhat conservative yet stylish, and colorful.

BTW....Ashworth was THE dynamic brand for a very long time. They may be on the decline today, but only since taken over by TMaG a couple years ago.

I concur with Hifade.  Puma's designs simply don't embody the decorum necessary for a Presidents Cup or Ryder Cup outfit.  The outfits of these events should be simple and crisp to not distract viewers from the actual golf being played.

The great thing about the green and white combo is that it really makes some of the guys (Tiger, Phil) wear something a little out of their style norm. Looks great on Tiger, maybe Phil isn't really built for bright shirts and white pants though. He looks hilarious in a bad way. Fashion lesson? Bigger guys should skew darker...

BTW: We can pretty much set our watches to TheDarkOne mentioning PUMA clothes in a thread at this point, right? It's getting a bit "trollish". I'm surprised the mods haven't done anything about it yet.

That must be the reason why traditional brands like Burberry and Aquascutum keep losing costumers to Puma, right? The inside the collar change is just horrific!
Look, I understand you like the look of Puma clothing, and you have every right to. The focus of most golfers is to play as well as they can, not only to look the part, and a style like Peter Millar's is what they are looking for.
If you look at the players competing in the President's Cup, none of them normally dress like Fowler except for maybe Ishikawa. The traditional look seems to fit well in this situation.
I hope you see that my post is not trying to attack your opinion, like others on the forum do, just trying to express my opinion on the matter.

Peter Millar has some very nice clothes. Been filling my wardrobe with their stuff lately.

If you like the shirts, buy them now. They only made a limited few, and I ASSURE you, they won't be cheaper, because they won't be around. $115 is a bit more than their polos usually go for, but only by around $20 bucks.

PM rarely, if ever goes on sale. They just flat out don't stock an atomic ton of it, even buying direct from PM, they always have a limited amount of styles and even sizes for certain sizes. Past that, good stuff.

Buy it now though, because you will probably miss out, and it's not going to be any cheaper.
