I'd go for the studio stainless newport, I just love that putter!

2.5SS has bigger sweet spot due to heel toe design.

Laguna PP will give you a more solid softer feel due the design and carbon steel material w/ PP finish on it.

If you are playing w/ a softer layer balls, you should be ok w/ the 2.5SS, although this kind of stuff are very personal preference.

Good luck!

I play with soft cover balls(prov1), how would the futura compare to these?

Go with the Newport, it's much softer than pro platinum. If soft is to your liking.

Again Feel is a subjective thing IMO!

Futura are made out of aircraft grade aluminium and more of a face balance putter type of design ( almost but not quite ).

BTW, Slicer365... How can a Stainless Steel material softer than Carbon Steel material and w/ a Nickel finish? Just curious!

THX!

yea slicer365, like joe said, there's no way that SS is softer than PP...PP is carbon steel which is alot softer than stainless...

go for the SS Newport 2.5. Classic design and durable finish.

Can't go wrong.

Just bought the SS 2.5 a few weeks ago. Good feel, nice to look at, nice finish. If it fits you, you will not regret getting it.
