I'll be back in Nastyville next month for two weeks. Anyone recomend somewhere to play?

I think we will be playing the Opryland course but thats all thats planned. I'll mostly be playing on my own so if anyone wants to meet up with a Limey let me know :)

I played the OpryLand Course, it is called SpringHouse. It is a nice golf course, I stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and they send a shuttle to pick you up. I would recommend the course. Only one that I played there. Very Nice, but not spectacular. Good Luck, very busy area.

I haven't played there in several years, but the Legends of Tennessee courses used to be SCHWEEEEET!!! I'd check those out online.

Thanks guys, I was looking at the legends courses earlier, I'll probably wander over to take a look.

2 weeks visit and I want to get at least 5 rounds in

I personally would skip Springhouse. I was not impressed. I preferred the Hermitage (the newer course). It just seemed to have more character and not many holes running side by side with one another like I ran into at Springhouse.

Both courses at Hermitage are excellent tracks. Esp. Presidents Reserve (my personal favorite). Springhouse is nice if you like links style courses. The Legends south in Franklin is a very nice layout. They have 1 public 18 and 1 private 18. My home course, Old Fort, in Murfreesboro (about 30 miles S.E.) is a great layout, and about half the price. It just went through a renovation a couple of years ago by Dennis Griffiths. He also did Presidents Reserve @ Hermitage. We use to have first stage "Tour Qualifying" here and hope someday to get them back.
Send me your dates and maybe we can hook up.

well, my dad played the springhouse links (i think thats what it was) and he said it was awesome. But we don't usually play super dooper high-end courses in the first place, so I dunno how it'll match up to your expectations

Springhouse is nice, but I don't find it outstanding. It is the only course in the area I have played, but for the expensive green fees I would figure it would be better. Bad thing is if you go on a hot day there is hardly any shade so you will suffocate very easily out there.
