Chapped who made the bag? Use the cross divest strap to help keep your wood shafts off of the iron heads. Helps protect the shafts.
Never heard people talk about torque. Are you sure you are feeling a lot of torque?

Tad,

It's a belding bag that they started selling last year. I've been carrying one since last summer and its been a great bag.

Tad,
Ben beat me to it . It is a Belding American collection soft vintage bag. They say the strap is to hold a sweater, but I haven't figured out how it works. As Ben said it is a great simple bag .
Torque may be the wrong word, just feels like a lot of kick thru impact. I ordered stiff shafts, so I don't know?

That strap at the top of bag is a divider for woods and irons. Interesting bag. I had tried to get them to make this bag for me a few years ago.

You are right, I just used it to separate the woods and it is perfect. I don't know why the product description says it is to carry a sweater.

I have drivers from Louisville Golf, and drivers from Tad.  In my experience, the Louisville shafts run a bit softer.  I believe that some others share that experience.

You may be experiencing a shaft that is a bit soft for your action.  That is part of the fun of acquiring a play set - all shafts are different, and some seem to work a bit better than others.

I guess the nice thing about a shaft that is too stout is that you can always take sand paper to it.

I am about ready to do that to a driver that I have had very good results with in previous years.  But, I have lost a little "firepower" in the last year, and with some arthritis issues in the back, I need to swing a bit smoother.  So, the old war club is going be made more pliable, to save my back.

Swinging smoother is not a bad thing!
I am not getting any younger, so the shafts being a bit soft shouldn't be a long term problem.

I bet that the strap that they mention is the handle on the bag.  We used to thread our sweaters through the handle to carry them on our bags.

It is certainly easier to play the ball right to left (for a right hander) when the shaft is a bit softer.

Chapper their original bag had a strap around it about 2/3 the way up and guys would use it but it was a poor excuse for a pocket. As I said I sold bags for a long time and Belding was my vendor but I could not get this bag made but they did come up with this but it needs s small front pouch like the old Spalding bag to put rain suit or sweater. If you go to Scotland/Ireland this pouch is invaluable. They made two years ago that I know of and I have one and a friend has the other.

Anyone know what bag Sandy was using for his hickories at Augusta ? It looks like a canvas 2-pocket Mackenzie Walker ?

Excellent Tad ... Thanks!

So to get one now all I need is an Augusta Membership invitation. Fair to say I have more chance of getting invited by being President of the United States than I do of winning the Masters :)

Oh...I don't know about that Geoff. Just mail in an Augusta National membership application. I am sure they would give it serious consideration. Hands Across The Sea and all that. I tell you what, you apply at Augusta and I'll try Muirfield...we'll see who gets in first.
