LOL!!! Black just happens to be the color I wanted last month when I was looking. Best deal I could find was 164.99 shipped...that was with an online coupon code for 18% off.

WOW!  Nice work... Wish I could have seen that one.  I have a g15 5 iron and notice a bit of an upgrade from the 10's but not huge.

I'm going to label something an "eBay steal" retroactively even though I didn't think so at the time. Several months ago I picked up a set of Titleist ZB irons with Project X 6.5 (non-flighted) shafts for about $210, shipped.

The reason they did not attract more bids was probably because the 8-iron shaft had been broken and replaced with a DGX100 instead of a Project X. Also, the length of that replaced 8-iron shaft is like 1/4" too long. One of these days I've got to swap it out with a matching PX6.5 shaft. There was also an issue that the new grips the seller put on there were some sort of stinky Chinese psuedo-Tour Velvets that I had to replace immediately (man they smelled bad!).

So at the time I figured "you get what you pay for" and it didn't seem like such a great deal with the cost of a set of real Tour Velvets and the (still pending) hassle or swapping out the 8-iron shaft. But the clubfaces were absolutely immaculate, like new really. And I decided to use them for a while and see how I liked them.

Now a couple dozen rounds later I LOVE THESE IRONS! I mean, I like them way better than the DCI 990's I've used since 2001 and thought would never be replaced. Nothing else I've fiddled around with has even come close to making me give up my 990's. But these ZB's are now my clubs. So it'll end up being around $300 plus some hassle by the time they're in perfect shape with the new grips and new 8-iron shaft but I think that's a "steal" for the best set of irons I've ever owned.
