And I guess I'm in the minority, the only one so far, but I really don't care for the new head cover so I'm using my old VR Tour head cover.

I bet the vr ltd w/ fubuki k series would straight bomb!!!
I am getting the VR Tour driver with Fubuki K X-Stiff and its incredible! Best feel and combo I have ever hit. I heard about the VR Limited driver but its 2 degrees open which is too much for me so I am sticking with the VR Tour Driver. It does look sweet though.

Mine is reshafted and cut down. It is a LOT of swingweight to recover, but the hosel is DEEP - 1.85" of depth so you could still stick a lead plug of 8 grams in there and have 1.5" of hosel to tunnel the shaft into (thats the depth of an r11 sleeve so its a safe amount to secure to). Be sure if you use a lead plug you cut equal amounts of tip off to offset the shallowing of the hosel (to maintain kick point in your shaft).
I ended up making mine 45.00 so I used a plug and lighter grip (MCC). Nike says the drivers weigh between D3-D5 off the rack. I am hoping to have achieved d2-d3 with my mod. That's fine for me. Prebuild I was around those figures. I haven't weighed it since I build it. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. SW is so overrated - as long as I'm in the D ballpark I'm ok. C7 sucks
I changed to an GolfPride multi compound to shave off about 4 grams at the grip end also. (I had to take a pic of the shaft by a plant so my camera would focus!)
I HATE that the industry uses 45.75" driver lengths these days. It's sooo hard to wield that much shaft for anyone. I remember when they had the long drive competition last year at Kapalua - One of the guys went to a 47 inch driver and couldn't hit it so he went back to hit reg 45". Might have been DJ. When you got a lake on one side and you HAVE to hit the fairway, nobody can routinely hit the sweetspot on the smallest head in the industry (430cc) with a nearly 46" shaft. I can't wait until they return to normal length.

1.) 44.5' gripped (I ordered it short and it came in spot on)
2.) D1 with stock Nike grip
3.) Ozik HD6 stiff flex (250cpm's), I was surprised as it felt a bit more stout, tip is definitely stiff.
4.) head weight (202gr's), not bad!
Should give a decent baseline...BB

44.75' gripped
D3 with GPMC
Attas T2 7S
I included the "real world" before and after specs so folks can gauge possible shaft changes. the addition of a 1/4' of length, little heavier shaft and lighter grip really dialed in my optimal swing weight...BB
