It has to be the Top-Flite Magna.  Why would you ever want a ball with a larger circumference?

And to whomever said the Tour Edition.  I don't even know what to say.

Oh nooooooo! Back in the day the TE was the $h!t man! I actually found one the other day and hit it with the driver. Hard as a rock off the driver. I don't remember it being rock hard though.

The tour editions were horrible.  They would upshoot faster than a kite in a hurricane.  4 Iron would go about 150 max.  Original Pro v1 was also a floating dog.

Titleist Prestige. Worst piece of junk ever for a wound golf ball.

Also the original Maxfli Revolution Solid. As good as the original Maxfli Revolution wound ball was is as bad as the Maxfli Rev Solid was.

Thirdly TaylorMade Inergel golf ball. Absolute duds.

Without a doubt ... the Top Flite Stata Tour Ultimate(one with orange logo) and the ProV1*

Interesting. The "Strata Tour Ultimate" (no Topflight logo, but with the 'orange swirl symbol) was my favorite ball of all time (other than cover durability). It worked very well for me on full shots and would absolutely dance around the greens from inside 40 yards.

Wilson Tx4, not the original either as that was a good ball, but the latest version, talk about rock.

For the balls that produced the worst results in OB and unplayable lies were the ProV1 and the Taylormade Penta. On the other hand, I hit the Callaway HX Diablo and Nike MOJO just fine, these two stay in the fairway and hit the green more often. I suppose the Penta and ProV1 just have way too much spin for me..

This is easy... The glow balls that you have to stick the glow stick in the middle.

I've heard of them cracking driver faces.

I've never spun a ball the way the original Tour Edition spun.  It had a strange feel and very loud click off of the putter, but pair a Tour Edition with a Ping Eye 2 SW and you could get so much backspin it was nearly trick-shot time.

Worst balls besides the obvious Molitor and other K-Mart crap would have to be the TM Innergel, the Top Flite Magna, and the Nitro, with the Innergel at the top of the list since it actually was supposed to be a premium ball.  More like a premium out-of-round ball.

Tried to play a round with some Wilson SpongeBobs.  The leaves are coming down so I wanted anything yellow.  You'd think with 'sponge' in the name, there might be something soft about them.  Nope.  Garbage.  And unfortunately, they're easy to find in the leaves.

The old Royal golf balls with weird hexagonal dimples.

Wound so they went soft quick.  Felt like hitting a soggy and wet cat.  Dive bombed into the ground after 100 yds.

The Penta.  I didn't mind the performance but I cracked them quite a bit.  The icing on the cake was when I cracked one on a par 5 teeshot.  I pured it and it flew about 125 yards and fell out of the sky.  It was the 15th hole of a tournament and I ended up losing by 1.  Ouch...

For your attention; in this case the rules state you MUST replay the shot under no penalty. So if you lost the Tourny by one shot it wasnt because of the failure of the ball per-se........
