I am going to take a week or two trip for golf and fun with a group of guys. Looking for the best January golf recommendations. Anywhere in the U.S. is fine. Probably under $200 per round and more like $100.

Thanks in advance! :beach:

I would look at South Florida or Arizona. We can play in GA during January, but it can get cold. I've played in FL in Jan and enjoyed it, of course conditions aren't the best, but if you're planning on playing in Jan, than you'll already be expecting subpar. Arizona is pretty warm year round (except at night), so I'd look into Pheonix/Scottsdale AZ and Miami/Boca/Ft. Myers area in FL. Northern FL (Orlando, Destin, Jacksonville) can be substantially colder during Jan than south FL. Should find good deals everywhere during that time too.

January is peak season for us but with over 200 courses you're sure to find many courses to fit your price range. It's also peak season for hotels and resorts so expect to pay a premium there as well.

not that i've played there ever, but i would imagine San Diego would have some great golfing weather in January.

I live in Orlando, FL. Average Jan. temps are 70* during the day and 50* at night. The one gaurantee is it won't rain. December, January and February is very dry in FL. It's also peak season, so golf is more $$$.

Forget what I said, I am tired of the tourists coming down here...the weather sucks! :)

Arizona has great golf almost year round and so does San Diego, those are my choices of places to play anytime.

You should know that California can be rainy from December to March. However, other than those months it's DRY.

San Diego, I live here and it can rain here, but its still warm anyway. Great nite life and fine eateries. At 200 or less a round you'llplay some scenic tracks.

maybe not the best weather but definetly the best deals and the best golf by far is at Bandon Dunes. You will get some very nice days and some rain and you will love any minute of it.

I have played in Orlando in January and it was nice. The temp was 65 - 70 both times I played. San Diego was nice also. San Antonio has some nice courses and nice weather also. I liked San Antonio because I got to play Pecan Valley for $30 with lunch included.

In January you will be hard pressed to find better weather than The Texas Hill Country (Austin, San Antonio) or the Houston area. Plus your rounds will be much cheaper than just about anywhere else in America.
