to those that got one already...did you guys get the divot tool with yours?  I didn't receive one and I talked to the Cobra guys and they said they were supposed to come with them.

I don't know of anyone that got a divot tool with theirs (mine included). The retailer just looks blank and says HUH when asked.

Add me to the list that did not receive a divot tool.

I think divot tool was just with the Special release Long Tom Raw drivers.  I don't think it was planned to be included with all Long Toms.

The people that got the advanced limited edition (not the 500 piece run for the public) which was referred to as 50 pieces that people like Easyy got came with the tool.  So the answer remains nobody that bought one got a tool.... What the big deal is I don't know as it looks 20 other tools of the same type other than the logo....

Tomorrow ... 10am - Group 2 ... The rubber will meet the road. Apparently the weather conditions SUCK !!!!!!! - big head winds

As far as the roid cracks - I know Jason personally - I dare anyone of you to say that to his face - cuz trust me .... you wouldn't. HAVING SAID THAT ... The guy is a physical specimen & fanatical about what he puts in his bod. That's all Jason - and no chemicals. Maybe 100000 pounds of supplements & protein and countless hours at the gym though ;)

Jaime Sadlowski is an example that you don't have to be built like an NFL linebacker to do well in LDA..  Whenever you saw the old Cobra Pinnacle Long Drive Team it was painful to watch those guys get loose before the exhibition.  Many times they would loosen their backs up using those thera balls...

I have also meant Jason a few times and I think it is a misrepresentation to indicate that "you wouldn't dare say that to his face".  He is one of the nicest calmest people in the sport and isn't going to react violently to anyone no matter how stupid the comment.  Since Jason was a pharmacist in Canada he is one of the last people that you would expect to use 'roids' being intimately familiar with the detrimental effects those drugs have on the body...

I Hit the COBRA LONG TOM RAW 9 degree today.  It surprised me on a couple of levels.

1.  Control was not an issue at all.  I hit 13 of 14 fws on a tight driving course.  I am used to longer clubs as 46 inch drivers are my standard length,  and am comfortable with 47 inches.  The trajectory was mid to high and very strong.

2. It is very well balanced and easy to control at its 48 inch length.

3.  The feel and sound was amazing. Very solid and traditional.  510TP Like.

4.  I was not playing in the best distance conditions,  48 degree temps and soft fws, but the LONG TOM matched my gamer bomber  for distance a SF 2.0 TP VERSION 2.

According to Cobra, the divot tool was made by Grafalloy to promote the product in the media and it's not included with Long Tom Raw purchases.

Just got the Long Tom in today and put it to the test on the simulator and it's legit. Definitely LONG and really doesn't appear to be 48" long.  My control wasn't the best but knocked a few 290 and one 313 which is pretty good considering I am 5' 6" and 120 lbs :bb:  Looking forward to putting it in customers hands...ones that could handle it

Hit it recently and was not overly impressed. I really dont know what market this driver is supposed to fall into. The only one I can think of is the Collectors Market. I cant imagine that anyone would actually put this in their bag.  I like the look of it as it is kind of retro and it would be an interesting conversation starter but honestly, I dont know what Cobra hopes to achieve with this thing ( why create a $500 driver that no tour player is going to put in the bag ?????)

Felt the same as you...not overly impressed.  It just felt "weird" to me.  The grip is really small (lengthwise, my hands barely fit).  I guess long and light doesn't work for me.  To top it off, the simulator numbers seemed weird.  Swing speed was higher than usual (around 120-125mph) and launch angle was around 12 deg but I was struggling to get it over 270 even on dead straight shots.  I didn't notice my spin numbers so maybe that could have been an issue.  I had been on the same simulator a day before with a Razr Hawk Tour and was over 300 regularly.

The only thing I liked about it was than it was pretty accurate which I was shocked about.  I was expecting to spray it because of the length and trying to "dial it up" a bit.

So I've read all the comments and I will tell you this. I'm one of the "so called" dumb asses that bought this club ( Stiff  9*). I normally swing about 103-105. 3rd cold swing on a Trackman I registered 110. It is an unruly beast for sure, but very playable. I'm not a scratch guy, but I'm " no slouch myself "  (insert Ted Knight voice here).
I got a $25 discount where I purchased it and got it for $325. Based on my first round with it, I'm paying about $1 a yard for it off the tee! It's the real deal and you can flat out murder this thing…Like the Beastie Boys say " Slow and low, that is the tempo!"
Oh and I played it off the deck a couple of times with a nice tail about 270….Certain courses I would leave it at home (tight parkland style etc…) but for the most part it's a silly fun club to hit. Wish I had gotten the 8* though in hindsight.

I just hit the long tom 9.5 stiff today and it's a bomber! I don't know if it's long enough and accurate enough to beat the new RBZ I recently hit as well, but it sounds a lot better. Unfortunately the shaft needs to be an X for me and I need the 8 degree head (which would certainly demolish the RBZ in distance)... but I'm enjoying the super high ball flight and about 15 to 20 extra yards over my TP burner.

I have one on order.  I might have made a mistake with the regular shaft long tom

I play a regular shafted ML4 (46 inch) and in all seriousness, hit it a  controlled 240-250.  I have striped it longer but have also lost it  longer.  I have adjusted my swing completely as a result. I just  revamped my entire bag (other than driver-3 wood) to all hybrid:18  degree mashie-HB3 4-PW (still need gap) and hybrid sand and lob.  As a  result, I have shortened my swing-have more control and have actually  gained distance on my wedge, nine and eight.

Anyway-here is my question to any member who has played this driver.  Do  you think the regular plays like a true regular-or is it whippier.  I  came so close to getting the stiff but since I havent opened it yet, I  can send it back and get the stiff.

Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.
