The OP reminds me of my third loop as a caddy when I was 12 years old at the local CC. I was caddying for a guest of a member and he was a 85-90 type player, real heavy set guy who could hit the ball a mile but I honestly think his weight/size got in the way on his short game. Anyways he was dressed as a standard golfer, no big watch or jewelry, very friendly and giving me tips since I was a pure rookie, I could keep up with the guys and give yardage but besides that I was pretty but a cart on feet. Anyways his equipment was nothing exciting, back then (11 years ago) he had taylormades with graphite shafts which were pretty rare in irons back then compared to the members I was used to carrying for/seeing their bags. Anyways at the end of the round the typical nice guy blue collar working man look gives me a $100, being 12 I instantly handed it back telling him I couldn't give him change for that, he hands it back with another 40 and told me it was all tip, my rate as a rookie was $12, giving me a $128 something like 1060% tip, not too shabby for a 7th grader, I carried his clubs all the way to his car after cleaning every groove and every ball in his bag (literally) and what is it? A brand new rollys royce, what model I couldn't tell you because I was so young but you don't miss the double R's at any age
Thanks for the memories OP
