Wow! We all made it here safely.
Hip, Sheriff, and I all arrived around 3pm. We were picked up from the airport by the hotel with our own personal drivers. When we arrived to the hotel we quickly unpacked and then met up in Sheriff's room before heading to the sports bar. The sports bar here is awesome - makes me feel like I'm in Vegas... We caught up for a hour or two before meeting the rest of the group around 6 for dinner.
Dinner was great but the conversations where better. The Director of irons RD and the Director of global iron sales were both there and we all picked their brain. They are obviously very proud of their irons, but hearing them back it up with the tech was great. I, or one of the others, will give a more in-depth break down of some of the tech in a later post when we have a little more time (we have to be in the vans heading out tomorrow morning in about 8 hours). One interesting point about the conversation was how excited they were for a new line of wedges that we'll start seeing in the spring. They wouldn't give us much info, but they did admit that their current attempt at breaking into the difficult wedge market is some what of a miss, but they have a lot of faith in the new product that has been receiving positive feedback from testers.
And what many of you have been waiting for.. After they downed a few gin and cokes we asked the big immediate question we all want answered - "When will we see a r11 TP irons set".. He paused, as if he needed to formulate his answer and said.. "Or current plans do not involve a r11 TP iron set. That could change"... Based on how solid and firm his answers were regarding the Spring line-up, this tells me one thing, if r11 TP irons ever do come to market, it's after Spring - therefore don't plan on it.
After dinner we headed up to the sports bar again and discussed tomorrows events. We are leaving here just after 7am and heading to get fitted. Our orders will be sent out to Carlsbad, our irons will get built, and then delivered to us at the course on Saturday morning - we really are getting spoiled...
Below are a few pictures, include dinner, the sports bar, and the bag of goodies we had waiting for us in our room. We also received shoes, but those will be waiting for us at the course in the AM.

Day 2
On our way to the r11 fitting. We just stepped on the bus and were handed these:
