I'm really interested in in one of these bad boys but my current driver is 44" and 46.5" frightens me.

How many of you cut the shaft or did you find you could handle 46.5??

Thanks

I'm about to put in an R9 shaft to get it down from 46.5 to 45.5. I am leery of just cutting off an inch since the swingweight will go down a good amount AND (this is important) I already have a heavier than stock midsize grip on the guy. I need the shorten the club and get swingweight to go back up so that it feels like I am swinging something!

FYI, My grips is going from 25g to 55g, the shaft is going from 45 to 65, and I'm adding 6 grams of weight to the tip of the shaft. This *should* bring my my swingweight to a D5-D6 or so, compared to the stock D9 which is now D3 thanks to the grip I use.

I've reaf of a lot of people cutting an inch or so off. It does change the swing weight but I've also have not heard of people they didn't get good results cutting an inch off.

If anything, you might be getting better results by hitting the sweetspot more often.

I have the 2.0 but replaced the stock shaft with a Matrix Radix. The Radix stock is 46", I play it at 45" and couldn't be happier!

I put in the V2 tour flight to play 45.5 and love it.

46.5 is way too long.  Is it possible to order it shorter From taylormade with the swingweight fixed?

I didn't cut mine but ordered with the Beta 70X at 45" direct from (DiscountDans FTW!).

Great driver and I actually find it to be pretty workable.
