Statistics... Sand saves and putts

just had a couple questions on the accurate way to count some statistics...
a sand save i know is when you get up and down from a greenside bunker for par. but if you pitch out onto a par 5 or short par 4 and two-putt for par, is it still a sand save? and what about fairway bunkers...if you hit it on the green from a fairway bunker, is that a sand save??
and also...putts...does a putt count everytime you use your putter, or just every putt you take ON the green??
just curious...anyone know these things??

I've always considered it a sand save any time I put it in a bunker (fairway or greenside) and made par or better.
Putts. Your first stroke on the green (whether a chip, putt, etc.) until the ball is holed all strokes are putts.
So....have a 30 footer for eagle and putt off the green, your chip counts as a putt and your putt for par counts too so you just 3 putted even though you had 2 putts and a chip.
Also, putt from the fringe to about 3", walk up and tap in for par you just 1 putted and got up and down.
