Yes, sambas with a pair of shorts would be great. Also White Stan Smiths (normal laces), definitely would be buying.

I'm in for the street style. I like wearing regular shoes to play every now and then. I love my Sambas too, but I don't think that I could pull the trigger on those.

They really need to do an AF1 golf shoe.

They once did a pair of Air Max '95 golf shoes for Kelli Keuhne that were incredible.  Any retro Air Max golf shoes would be killer.

Perfect for the casual golfer. Wouldn't wear them to a serious match though.

I'm in my 40's now and I'll give 'em a go. These are the shoes that I grew up wearing, definitely old school. Still have several pairs of gazelles, superstars and Stan Smiths in rotation and some backups still in their boxes. Who cares what people think?

Love it! Been an avid Samba wearer for many many years! Wish the made the Samba with the Street sole though instead of cleats. Maybe they will?  :)

I can see the plus points in that you dont have to change your shoes for a quick game etc, but I'm pretty sure these wouldn't adhere to my clubs dress code, either on or of the course....

And its just asking for loads of grass cuttings and mud being trodden through the club house...

I do want a pair, but I wish they'd never been invented...

I feel so old.

Love the look of Sambas on the street, not sure how they would look on the course.  The Streets are okay but look very similar to the Ecco's.  I'm down with the whole street shoe idea, but there is no point in company's making the exact same look.  Street shoes can look very different...lets see some different versions for the course.

I'd really like to get the White/Black in the streets.

I'm waiting for the adidas tobacco version, which i wore in 3rd grade. I tried the street version on at golfsmith and did not think they would be that comfortable to walk 18 in.

So get rid of the pressed pants. Never understood why people wear dress clothes to play a sport.

I'll take the sambas in blue thanks.

Yuck, that's what I wear when I play soccer indoors. Absolutely not on the golf course. Posted Image

Talk about growing up with Sambas, I'm 48 and grew up with Gazelles and Puma Clydes.  I think the "Streets" look okay but they needed solid stripes.  The Green sambas are okay as are the true retro black/white.

Wore my Adidas street for the first time on saturday and i was very impressed. The comfort was great and had no issues with slipping or anything. They also got a few compliments from people as i was going around (white ones with blue soles). A happy purchaser here

Bought a pair of the Sambas in white, for the express purpose of wearing them to play in shorts.  I agree a more traditional shoe looks better with pants, but in my opinion its almost as equally toolish to wear a traditional wingtip or saddle shoe with shorts! So problem solved, at least in my word.

I'm just guessing that the majority of likes and dislikes of these shoes are based on age.

I'm guessing you are wrong. I think it has to do with taste more so than age. I'd laugh if I saw an older guy wearing those shoes though.
I'm 50 and wearing them proudly !!!

Bought them a month ago and love them.  Very comfortable, great quality, and stylish.  Played indoor for years in Samba's...they only get better the more you wear them.

I'm a big fan of Adidas shoes and I own quite a few pair of their higher end golf and running shoes. I was attracted to the  golf shoe since I have a pair Sambas of for casual wear. I bought a pair of in blue about a week ago and thought they were quite comfortable. Upon going to the range the next day (hitting off a mat) I noticed that one of the spikes on my left shoe kept popping out. I hit three buckets that day and had that same spike twist out four times. I looked in the receiver and thought it was cracked  but upon taking them back to Roger Dunn to exchange them the salesman said that wasn't the case. A new pair was transferred in for me and I went on my merry way.
This weekend I was in a club tournament and wore my new Sambas and I got a lot of compliments for how sharp they looked! After I played 18 holes (riding) I noticed packing up that I was missing a spike on the new pair, this time on the right heel. Unfortunately, I have to say that I'm not happy with these shoes, I've never owned a pair of shoes in which spikes twisted out so easily and so quickly after my purchase...these are heading back to the store.
I usually steer clear of shoes in this price range, I purchased these shoes strictly for the way they look. I think I'll take the store credit and put it towards a higher end Adidas shoe knowing that I've yet to have a problem with their better shoes.
