Yes I use the butt cap insert because that counter balances the weight if the insert in the shaft. I have tried it with and without and I can feel a difference to me

I have the F and happy with it at a SS of 112. IF your tempo is real fast like a Nick Price tempo AND a hard swinger then the G might be a better fit. If I was you I would give Harrison Golf a call. I talked with Cody and feel I got good advice. Just my two cents.

Tomorrow, I am going to try an Shotmaker in an Harrison Eclipse at 45" in a VR Tour 10.5. Looking forward to this as I was bombing his YS-6+ VR Tour 10.5 past my R11 (ssshhh don't tell this to the R11 mob) so I am looking for a soft profile shaft with a shotmaker.

Let me know what you think of that. I have only X-flex shaft right now. Except for a Adams 9015 head with the factory crappy Matrix in a stiff. I hit that club sideways half the time I might throw it in there to see what affect it has on it!

My experience with Harrison Shafts has been nothing short of great. However, I can see how some people, like John, would feel that Harrison is losing ground. Some shaft companies have made a name by riding the coat tails of the likes of Taylormade, Callaway, Titleist and more. Harrison does not make low performance shafts for the OEMs. They do not spend millions on TV Ads, Product Reviews, Sponsorhips, PGA Players, and Media Attention. If John wants to consider Harrison 3rd/4th tier, that is his perogative. There are plenty of players and industry enthusiats that know differently.

If the shaft in question is a .335 shaft there is about a 90% chance the insert will work! Also if you call Harrison they do have a good idea as to what manufacturers will MOST LIKELY fit and which ones don't. I believe in there R&D phase they cut in half over 100 different shaft to see the quality of the inside bore.
So BIG NAME shaft companies I was told didn't have consistent inside diameters.
