Just picked up a center shafted Rife Barbados black today at Play it Again Sports and it is amazing. I took it to the practice green and I was making everything!

Anyone try center shafted putters, and not liked them?  Every time I try one, I really like them...but hate the looks of them.  I think for a SBST stroke, there doesn't seem to be much better.  Am I wrong in this?

What do you hate about the looks? most are the same shape as any other model, just shaft inserted in a different spot.

I have played most retial centershaft putters.  To me the favorites have been the Rife Barbados, Odyssey WH XG #7, and now the TM Corza Ghost.  Just love the feel and roll the Ghost puts on the ball.  Need to give one a try.

Never Comp Z/I Sigma. An oldie but a goodie for me. The black-grey-black makes it easy to align and I like how the shaft inserts in to the head. Just seems to give great feedback. Plus I don't really like inserts. It just makes putts for me.

Thanks for all your feedback!  TM ghost corza seems to be a favorite!   Can everyone list all the centershaft putters they have tried and which ones they liked the best?  Thanks all

I have a Dave Curry (Big Oak Putters) Havana that I had him make up with a center shaft.  My entire life I've rarely swapped out clubs, but I'm forever changing putters.  Primarily a rotation of Ping putters - Anser, Zing, and Cushin are typical, but I never could find "the one."

No more.  This putter, the pride of Thomasville, GA Posted Image is secure in my bag for a long time.  I love it, and I've never putted this well before.  It is not a honeymoon phase - I've had it more than a year now and no thoughts of switching.

I'm a huge fan of the Ping Scottsdale Pickemup.  Lines up really nice and has a great feel. Only problem is it looks like Batmans "Bat signal" and you are bound to get some grief from your buddies.

I might be a little biased, but I have never had a complaint on any of our center-shafts :)  Here are a couple of examples of ones we have made, and one that is in progress :)

^^^ Great looking flatstick....

my vote goes to the Seemore FGP2.....not exactly center shafted, but close enough, easy to align and great feeling putters.

+1 for SeeMore although I prefer the Si3.

i still think the white hot 2ball cs w/ a tour line produces the best roll of any center-shaft putter

that Yes! carolyne is also one to check out if you like a longer toe-heel putter, but you really need a pure pendulum stroke for something that big/heavy
spaulding get your foot off the boat

TaylorMade Rossa Itsy Bitsy Spider Center Shaft. Hard to find, but worth it. Mine is a one-off (from the tour) but the Japan models are similar.

As for why; it is uber forgiving and puts the best end-over-end roll I have ever seen. It just makes more putts for me than any other center shafted putter I have ever tried.
